Well I got to talk to my daughter a little bit when she landed in Chicago. She met up with a group of kids going into bootcamp. They all went to dinner together and ate Chicago dogs because the lines were to long at the better restaurants. After dinner she said they were heading to the USO office. That is when I told her everything I needed to tell her just in case they took her cell phone away.". I love you , I will be thinking about you everyday, I know your going to do great, I'm proud of you, and I cant wait to see you at Graduation. " I guess they made her turn off her cell phone because I didn't get to talk to her until I got my little 10 second phone call from boot camp. I have to say she sounded a little sad.

I never heard my son talk so fast when he gave me the scripted 10 sec call! Our house is soo empty and quiet right now. We have 3 dogs (Siberian Huskies) but even they know something is different these past couple of days. He was our last one at home. My daughter is already in the Navy and has been active for the last 3 years. We never did get to go to her graduation because she got sick and wasn't able to complete her final PRT, so I hope that does not happen to Kenny and we get to go to PIR! Hang in there, we can lean on each other.

It was kind of sad but I had to giggle a little bit after she gave me the script. We had our little arguments before boot camp and I kept telling her I can't wait for you to go to boot camp, you can't argue with them or roll your eyes. I hope they don't get sick either that would be awful were looking forward to the Graduation.
I know about the arguments, they came here too. It almost seemed like he was pulling away a little bit to help prepare me for his departure. With all of us nervous I think we were just edgy and nipped a little at each other. I am so glad that I have all of you moms to talk to here and on the RTC Facebook page. The holidays are going to be the hardest I think. My sister told me to get a hobby, she is funny. I see that some of the moms got "the box" in the mail from the 14th date arrival SR's, hopefully we get ours in the next couple of days! Looking forward to getting the form letter with his address so I can start mailing out letters to him!
