OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son is in Division 21. He has sent me 3 letters so far. I also got my first phone call this week. He sounded happier than he has been for a long time. He's enjoying the food(he eats like there's no tomorrow)and said Sundays they have the best food. He told us how much he loved us and missed us. I look forward to seeing him at Graduation in Great Lakes before he heads to A School.
I've managed to keep the crying from occurring as much as possible because I know this is his happiness, and he should enjoy it, not be worried about me.
I would like to join the facebook group so can someone please explain to me how I go about doing so? Thank you all for your support and may God be with our children as they take this journey.
