My son left on 11/15/11 ~ His recruiter called me today to give me his address as he knew that with the Holidays the form letter would take longer to get here!  I still have not received the Form letter, but was wondering if there are any other mothers out there with SRs in this Division!  I am very excited, the PIR will be 1/13/2012 and he will qualify for the Adopt a Sailor program at Christmas!!  GO NAVY!!

My son left on the 15th as well- but I haven't gotten a call..congrats Kensmom!

Thanks Leslie!  Call his recruiter!  That is where I got the information from.

My son is with your sailor!

Just got the letter. My son wrote "Mom" on the line where you add the names of people coming to PIR!

Actually, I doubt that I will go- it's a long way from SF to MI...and he will be back near me in Monterey anyway.

But I shall read with joy all your accounts of the cermony!

Cheers,

Leslie

My son left that day as well... I've called the recruiter's office multiple times but his recruiter is out of the office, a lot.  I saw on the RDC website that 42 is the last division for PIR 1/13/11.  I want to go stalk the mailman at home!

Rachel, I was sooo excited when PO Humphries called me!  He gave me his Ship & Division numbers, took him a few seconds to log into the system, I gave him my son's SS# and within 45 seconds he had it!  Keep Stalking the recruiter too!  I have a friend on Facebook whose son got there on the 15th also, and she got her form letter today! This has been the best day for me sooo far since he left!

got the form letter today - my son is Ship 09 / Div 042 - anybody already made hotel reservations?

I am doing that right now!!  Gonna stay at the Navy Lodge or Navy Gateway Inns and Suites!

Now it seems that my Sailor DOES want me to attend PIR but I think I threw away the papers!! Do you think we have the same password- I think it was "rooseveldt" or maybe "cleveland"?

Lesson learned- NEVER throw anything away!

Thanks,

Leslie

we are thinking about the Residence Inn in Waukegan

Just missed it! I had to stalk the recruiter to get the address and he's in ship 09 div 043. I guess he'll be graduating on 1/20. It's all good since I have the address now! Mailing the letters now!

I just got my letter today.  Same ship, division and PIR.  I thought they would be graduating the 13th also.

Congrats on the letter! I just checked and mine is still not here. Glad to know there is another mom in the same group, I was starting to think I was the only one.
