Wow you ladies are very stronge. But I know what you mean by having love one's up there looking down on us. How comforting it must be for you to know that he is still with you in spirit, and still plays a big part in all of your lives, i admire your stronge faith. The most important thing I told my 18 yr old before he left was to talk to God everyday when we aren't there for him he always will. and to just be still and listen to what His directions are and you will be successful in whatever your goal is. He was excited about his camo Bible and said even though church is short he likes going and is getting re-familiar with the stories and lessons in it. Thank God we have a greater being watching over our kids.

I think Monday is 3-2. Our son told us that Nov 10 was 2-1. Holidays do not count. correct me if I am wrong...

angeltoe is your son taking the holiday leave? it's 6:20 and no phone call, my husband was a work when he called thurs. so this call was his, hope kyle calls he will be disappointed if there isn't a call

My SR didn't call me either.  He told me on Thursday he would have a short call, but I think it had to do with leave and making reservations.  Since he has decided not to take leave, and I am not flying out for PIR, maybe he was told he couldn't make the call????  I waited all day, did some sewing on a quilt I started for my daughter when she was in high school.  She is 39 now!!!  She is getting it for Christmas this year finally finished!  Once again my husband says you have to let him go!  But it's hard to lose that day to day control, and not knowing what's happening.

Guys, I wanted to let you know my husband got a job as a yoeman?? I think thats how you spell it, but he is in charge of scheduling and other bits and pieces. He will try and keep me updated on when they are able to make their calls and everything. I'll try and keep up as much as possible.  I get my mail every Thursday, so hopefully we'll know something.  This time, he did mention it would be a few weeks out.

Crystal maybe he will give you inside information now on things that you can relay to us. Thursday is mail day here to he said that it takes him a week to get his mail, don't know why that is. Hope your still feeling good, and keeping the faith. keep busy

I'm getting ready to leave for Montana to spend the holiday with relatives.  Just wanted to wish all of you a very Happy Thanksgiving.  It will be hard to celebrate without our sons (and husband) here but hopefully they will all enjoy the day with their "Navy Family". God bless them and all of you.

Happy Thanksgiving try to enjoy your day, I'm trying to focus on the fact that I can be thankful for my son finding his way now, and for getting some clarity for his future yes it will be sad seeing that empty seat, but like you said he is spending it with his Navy Family. they will appreciate home for sure. Enjoy the visit with your family joshmom.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Michelle, I wanted to let you know too, that your son approached my husband and told him that you knew of me.  Sam does know your son. I'm glad they are in this together.  <3

I'm glad to hear that, the old Kyle would of never said anything. He is coming out of his box. i'm glad he is making new friends.

Good morning,

I asked my son if he knew Kyle or Samuel and he said" Mom, I don't know anyones first name" . So that stinks. I am wishing all a very happy Thanksgiving. Even though our loved ones aren't with us, at least we know where they are and that they are safe!!!

I'm sorry the last post was deleted because there are no last names permitted on this site. It breaks OPSEC...please review the Community Guidelines and OPSEC . Thank you.
