My son is supposed to leave this Sunday but I can't reach his recruiter to even find out when! He doesn't return my phone calls and he hasn't been at the office so what am I supposed to do?

When my daughter was leaving for bootcamp, I dropped her off with her recruiter on Sunday around noon and then he took her to her hotel. We were able to have dinner with her that night and the next day meet her at Meps for the swearing in. Your son was probably already told by his recruiter what was expected of him. I guess if he doesn't remember, you'll have to keep calling the recruiters office.
Iriding,
We were lucky to have an awesome recruiter.(Thanks Ben!) As someone else said, our son had to be at his office the afternoon before & then the rest of the family drove to Columbus, OH where MEPs is. We all stayed at the same motel & Dad & son hung out while my daughter & I went to dinner with a friend of hers who lives over there. Next day, we all went to MEPS bright & early & he was already there. It will all work out. I don't remember seeing any papers but maybe he had them. Good luck to you & your SR! Have a good Thanksgiving!

Guess it depends on where you live. Our recruiter picked up my son from the house at 5 am and took him down to MEPS the day of. But we knew the time in advance during the 7 day meeting. We also had the business cards with office and cell phone numbers of at least 3 people in the office in case we had questions.
We had issues with our recruiter, same kind of stuff. Is he going to MEPS in Brooklyn by chance? My son stayed at a hotel in Staten Island the night before and was transported to MEPS the next morning. His recruiter never answered his phone or returned calls. It was so frustrating...I would definitely go to the office and look for an emergency # on the door and call it. Good luck!
