Anyone else have an SR in ship 12 div 31?

My daughter is Ship 02 Div 907 and I haven't received any letters except the form letter.  It is hard.  She left 11-1-11.  I was so anxious to check the mail today, I really thought she would have gotten to write.  Today has been a really tough day and I'm sure tomorrow will be worse.  Patience is not my greatest either.

baylorbear,

Try to hang in there. I know that sounds so cliche but I'll bet you get something soon. It really gets a little easier when those letters start coming. Try to have a Happy Thanksgiving & know that she is safe. I'll definitely keep you in my prayers.

I tried to start a new discussion & it won't let me for some reason, so I'll just ask here. Our son's PIR is 1-06-12(I guess that's obvious from the site name-duh.) I am confused as to when to make motel reservations. There is no flight involved, we will drive, so does that make a difference? Thanks!

We didn't get a call either. :(  I was really hoping, had my cell in my pocket all day cause we were at my sister's. My friend's son went Air Force & he got to call @ 3 weeks so I keep comparing that & I shouldn't. Our SR did mention he's getting "adopted" for Christmas so that's wonderful! Yall hang in & we will too.

So glad that you have gotten more letters! I've still only received my first three all in one envelope, but they were so PERFECT! I definitely re-read them every single day. Lol. I stay at an apartment during the week for grad school and he's sending the letters to my parent's house, but I'm pretty sure it's worth the 45 minute drive to their house to get it if they come sometime this week. Crossing my fingers! Missing my boyfriend SO much!

I am in the same boat.  He is not really the best writer so I am hoping for the phone call at end of week.  Are you going to the PIR?

Mine is from California and DIV 031 =)

well we will see - i know names are not allowed on this sight.  Are you going to PIR as well?

Got a  9 Page letter today...sounds really good. I think it our SR's would love to hear about current events..they can't recieve clippings but, it would be neat to add little blurbs to your letters about goings on in their home towns. It seems to be a current theme...longing (To hear about home) in the letters I have recieved.

What time did you receive your call?

Our SR did call then but I missed it so I'm not sure if all did.  :(   Dad wouldn't think to ask things like that-lol. Hope you get a call-it makes a lot of difference. I feel better & all I have is a tearful voice message on my cell phone.  :)

Got phone call yesterday. He sounded really upbeat but could tell he was not well. Said he had been SIQ one day for a Sinus infection but that it had not set him back any. Call could not have come at a better time, work really bad yesterday and hearing his voice made it all better.
