My boyfriend graduates on January 6th, and I was wondering if anyone else's sweetheart graduates from bootcamp on that day. My boyfriend's sister said she talked to girls who were in the same boat (haha, buh-dum-dum) when her boyfriend left for bootcamp, and that it really helped. So... yup. :) Anyone?

Congrats girl! I recieved one today, haha. It made me super happy. He told me about a song he made up for me and said he'd kill me if I ever wrote him a Dear John letter, xD Silly boy.

My SR is graduating on 1/6. he left on halloween.  its has got to be the toughest thing ive ever gone through but reading about what you ladies made me smile and def make me feel better because clearly im not the only going through all of this.  ive been with him for about four and half years and so being apart for so long with nearly no contact is incredibly hard.  r u ladies planning on going to PIR

Four and half years, wow, congrats! That's amazing.

Yes, I am for sure.

my husband and I have been together about 5 years, it is hard. Hard to feel like we're not a part of their day, even tho im sure we are on their minds:) I just miss talking to him, hoping for a letter tomorrow!! :))

My fiance graduates that day too! He's very blessed he got in to this grad date. He got there on the 7th of November. Looks like most of your guys got there on the 1st and 2nd. In his form letter he started with I have five minutes to write. So that's probably why some of yours ended in the middle of a sentence. It is indeed nice to have other women going through the same things. I can't wait till next week when I get his real letter...or hopefully letters.

My boyfriend graduates the same day. He's in division 036 ship 07

Hey ladies! My boyfriend graduates on Jan6 also! He's div 036, and I received 3 letters on Wednesday along with info about the adopt a sailor. Reading those letters was the best experience of my life - my mind is finally at peace that he is doing well, missing me, and counting down the days til Jan 06!!! :)

Hey allie. Are you doing the adopt a sailor? hmmmm. Im still waiting on the papers

we live about 5hrs away from chicago, so i have considered driving up there. however, i would be traveling on christmas eve and christmas day, and i'm terrified of driving in snow! lol. so, i think i'm going to sign him up so that he can possibly go with a host family for christmas day? i believe that's how it works. while i would kill for a day with him, it just seems like a lot of traveling, especially when i'll be making the trip up there for real two weeks later!!!

i'm sure you'll be getting it soon. mine came with three letters. :)

Ive been getting lots of letters and he keeps saying the rdcs are saying they have to stay. Hmmm. Hopefully they'll be told soon! :)) I live in washington but im going. :) ha.

washington? wow. now i feel like a terrible girlfriend for not going... he didn't write to me about it or anything. just shoved the info paper in the envelope. who knows? i'll have to ask him in my letter tonight.

i'm glad you're getting lots of letters!! super jealous. i've been stalking my mailman - thankfully, he's a friend of the family or he would think that i've lost my mind!

Ha:)) I didn't mean to make you feel bad! Its crazy and I shouldn't spend all the extra money to go but I am. Its our first holiday apart and I know that we will be apart in the future but I have a chance to see him so im taking it:) I miss my husband so much! Almost halfway there!!
