Cristina had a good idea about all of us getting together for dinner Jan 19 (Thursday before PIR) instead of going to Sarge's Meet and Greet at the Sundance Saloon since there will be drinking there. Cristina and I both have young kids (some of you may also) and don't really want them in that atmosphere. I have been looking around for family friendly restaurants. Here are a few and a link to their Menu. If you are interested in doing this, please leave a comment below and we can figure out which restaurant and what time would be the best for all of us. Also, if you know of another family friendly (no sports bars) restaurants close to the base please leave the name and a link to the Menu in the comments :)

I don't think you have to go the entire time :)...I'm gonna hang out with my son too...Just meet and greet on Thursday.

Hmm...I guess we'll see how it goes when that day comes. Do you have to make a reservation for that event? I'm sure they would like how many they are expecting huh?

I believe they request a RSVP and I think they will post it on this group at some point. I gave you my description on the previous page...LOL

Lol at the PIR I will probably have my son in a lime green umbrella stroller and be constantly telling my 4 yr old to hush and sit still haha.

TeHe...I STILL have to tell my 16 year old that...We will all know each other on sight!

lol I also plan to pick up a baby dress blues outfit for my son when I go to the base (once I get my form letter) to get my spouse military ID. I may find a dress for my daughter too.

Just to add to the list, Anastasias has been wonderful to N4Moms and will give you a section of the restaurant.  You may want to put them on the list as well!  You just need to give them an approximate number of guests (ballpark) and the time you will be there.  Everyone just orders/pays for their own meals.

There is also a MeetNGreet at the Ramada from 6-8 pm.  Some go to that one briefly, and then head over to dinner.

Okay I think I looked at Anastasias, I don't remember why I thought they wouldn't be family friendly. I'll get a link to their menu. Thanks diannep!

Okay it's a sports bar that's why I didn't list it, but if you say it's family friendly I'll trust you!  here is a link to the manu: http://www.eatatanastasias.com/waukegan/menu.php

Just a thought,  maybe we can stop at the M&G for a little bit then get together for dinner afterwards? What do you guys think? I know everyone is getting in to GL at different times, but if we have an idea somewhat then we can plan it out? Just a suggestion. I know it will be hard on PIR day to meet with everyone as it will overwhelming as it is. Would love to meet and get to know all of you and hope to establish a long lasting friendship ♥

I saw FTLW added the meet and greet links. I think her info is helpful in the descriptions. I just don't know what time my hubby and I will get to the hotel. Just depends on the weather, traffic and the drive. Definitely will meet you guys one way or the other :)

Yeah I noticed there are 2 M&G One at the Sundance Saloon and at Ramada. Let's touch base for sure. I'll have my phone with me. Let's pray for a wonderful day on January 20th, 2012 :) Have you book your flights yet? I think I'll book mine this week. We're flying JetBlue.
