yes heard that BS is the 18th and they will get a call on the 19th. but i thought BS went longer then one day, I did read that once they pass there is a more relaxed time for them, they do get a pizza party afterwards as a reward. maybe there call times will be relaxed to.

Hi Ladies!  I'm back and missed chatting with you all.  I got a call from my son yesterday.  We were driving through S. Dakota when my husbands cell phone rang.  The call couldn't have come at a better time.  My husband pulled off the highway and we all got to talk.  My son sounded great and says everything is going well.  He's not taking leave after BC because his A school will only be 7 weeks long and he'll get either 2 or 3 weeks leave after A school.  Crystal, he said he does know your husband because there are only a few married guys in the division.  I told him he should let your husband know we chat on here.  Not sure about anyone else because he only knows the others by their last name.  Says he become good friends with the guys who bunk around him.  Makes sense.  Hope you all are doing well.

I hope its true that they will call on the 19th, it would be great to have a designated day to be next to the phone.  We'll be at UCLA that day for my hubby's yearly eye exam, which is good, because the day before we'll be traveling through Nevada....lots of places with no cell service in Oregon & Nevada. But I'm not so sure about battlestations being on the 19th.  I heard that they don't know what day it would be, because I thought that they are supposed to be surprised during the simulation???? Thanks for the heads up Crystal, and I hope Turkey day with the in-laws was fun for you today!

Yeah, I heard both phone call and battlestations was that day, but again, when my husband calls i'm really in "fairy land" and everything that comes out sometimes doesn't make sense.  I will hopefully be having a baby that day.  *Fingers Crossed*

Josh Mom, glad they know each other!! I'm happy to see that they are tight knit.  <3

will he be staying in the GL for A school? Keep our kids in your prayers today Hell week is on them, lets hope for not alot of hits on them unless that means more intense training for them ugh!

yes they are inspected and drilled on everything they have learned. From what I gathered other RDC inspect them of course they want to find every little thread and give them hits (points) against them, the more they get the more work they have to do. It is a long process standing for hours at a time. hope they are ready. Kyle will stay in GL lakes to but didn't take the leave, since he is reserves and if anything would happen and he needed to come home he wanted that option with his time. We are planning on staying there for a few days, hoping that he can get liberty and spend at least the days with us. Still haven't gotten a answer on that though.

Leilla wanted to send you good vibes today, hope your day is filled with alot of sunshine. Have a great day. ...Michelle

thank you so very much Michelle; today was much better :-) I got 2 letters from Jesse!! he said '2 individual pieces of gum would really be appreciated'...lol

I got a letter but they were all the letters he has gotten he said he is running out of room,so he was sending them home. I better get a real letter this week, and are they really allowed gum? I would think that chewing would make those commanders really mad. I know Kyle would love to have some. wonder how they made out today with inspections. glad your day was better I know those letters always brighten my day.

Hey Crystal how are you feeling haven't heard from you today, just checking in. I think the boys may get some snow Tuesday, they will be shoveling....Michelle

So my step son is headed to TX for his A school medical tech.  Is anyone elses family headed there as well?

Mine is staying in the GL, we get alot of snow here in the winter but he is in for a real surprise there, and I'm sure there are no snow blowers just man power. at least your step son will have warm weather,
