Our letter came in yesterday! Glad to hear from our SR, but was a little disappointed to learn he wasn't on the Dec 16th PIR schedule. We received "the box" last week, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would of been. I think following the day by day boot camp activities has helped me deal with him leaving. I read it everyday 3-4 times, I guess you can say its therapeutic.

That's all you can do, is encourage him. I hope his spirits start to lift.
My son mentioned good things about an SR from northern Wisconsin, is this your SR? He said he was a Packers fan..."can you believe it mom? I am friends with a Packers fan?!" Ok so who is he family with? I would love to conversate with you, message me if he belongs to you. This SR lives real close to the MN border, is he yours?

My son is from MN however we have spent the last few years hauling him all around in Wisconsin for bull riding.  As a result he now has a girlfriend from Waupaca and we all love WI would love to move there some day.  Hopefully your son and mine have chatted.

I bought my red scarf to represent ship 09 Div 023....yes!!! Red is also my SR's favorite color, glad that color was chosen.

Good morning all! Hoping that everyone had an enjoyable holiday. It was a little wierd for me, but all in all a pretty good one. Finally got to talk to him and he sounded great! I think he was a little concerned about MarlinSpike and Hell week, but never did say it. Just kept talking about it and the different things that he and the Div were going to be doing. I am sure it was the unknown that worries him and wanting to excel in everything. hahaha  Well they start Hell week today! I hope yesterday went better than they could have hoped. I know they did great, but sure would have loved to been a fly to see it all. Glad that the scarf color was chosen- I love my big 'ol fluffy red scarf! hehe!  Chat later! Have a great day!

I am a red head so it is gonna take a while for me to find a red scarf that looks ok with my hair!!!!!!!

Being that ALL my family are redheads but me- a deep Red w/ blue undertones always looks great. You will look great no matter what because you will be glowing with pride anyway!

Hello y'all!  Received two letters yesterday- think they wer supposed to get here before the holiday, but didn't. Oh well! Still was great to have them whenever. He sounds so great. Full of personality and his excitement. I am really glad. I didn't really worry, but constant stress can really get at the most upbeat and motivated person. He says he loves it and that he is really enjoying everything. Loves to give the Chief a little good natured grief( I am SURE the chief just loves it =}) Goofy kid!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Hey ladies try to post any info you get about how the Div does during this week (Hell Week). I am just so curious how it is going for them. Time is finally on the downside, thank God! :)  Our son sounds pretty good and his letters are interesting for sure. Prayers to Ship 09 Div 023 and really to the entire TG06.

Hi everyone---I also would love to hear how our recruits are doing this week. I talked to my son on Saturday and he said it was going to be a stressful week. He has had horrible infected blisters and is concerned about the 12 laps in 12 minutes. I'm praying every day that he makes it!

I'm so glad that we are under the 30 day mark!    I too am praying every day that our son makes it through Hell Week (and the weeks and days after that) safe and sound.   He sounds good in his letters and I can't wait to talk to him on the phone again!

Yeah...I wonder when we will get a letter. I started getting used to Wed letters but today...no letter. I know it is Hell Week and he is has his priorities in order. We told him early on that focusing on his job in bootcamp is his only focus. Hope for the best and the best to you gals too.
