Hello everyone. I noticed that there is no group for Ship 07 Div 35 so I decided to get one started. I hope other love ones will join soon.

We got a letter today also and he dated it on thanksgiving day. Sounds like the ship is doing well and it also sounds like the drills are hard. I dont beleive we will get any phone calls until we get closer to PIR as I think the delay in the SR's receiving letters and lack of phone calls is all part of the boot camp making them Sailors.
We have decided not to adopt our SR for Christmas due to the expence and time of travel and have decided to donate to an organization that adopts sailors that are not adopted by their family.
dadyellow my SR said in his letter that he gets a 45 minute call on December 1st.
That would be great. Although my husband is TDY that day so he'll miss it. We've gotten mail from our sailor but as I mention at another time he doesn't like to write so not much written on the stuff he sends. Thanks for the update you guys. Really glad your sailors write more. I wonder if he will be able to make two calls so he can call his father during that time also. That would be super great.
My SR did not mention any thing about calling but you could be right let's hope so.
We have not received a letter. Maybe tomorrow.
We have not gotten any letters either...Fingers crossed that maybe tomorrow also:)
My SR said he didn't have a lot of time to write this one. I think it was a bonus because I had never heard of them getting to write on Thanksgiving. So maybe he ran out of time before he could tell you.
Is there a reason we aren't using our sailor's names? Everyone says SR or son/daugter and I was just wondering. It's always bothered me that sailors seem to lose their first name on the boat so I've always made a point of learning guys first names and using them. Anyway, I just recieved a letter yesterday and he said they can only write on holiday routine which is normally on Sunday but they did get the opportunity to write on Thanksgiving and they will again for Christmas. Holiday routine is Sunday's and and federal holiday from what I remember.
oh, okay that makes sense. thanks
Got another letter today from my SR. He got sick, but is almost better. He says they were starting day 2-3 on Monday. Wants lots of pictures. haha. He said he didn't want any pictures when he left. Guess he changed his mind.
Hello everyone! I tried to make an account a week ago and it didn't work . . . Made one for my Mom though, but she doesn't get on the internet much, so here I am! Sister of a SR here. Really hoping they get to make that phone call today . . . just hope its before I have to go to work. Glad so many of you can see your SR on Christmas . . . my family cannot make it. :(
