Hello lucky ones....Denise not so much....Matt called three numbers - home - personal cell - work blackberry and each time left a message...i was working at a shoot for my job and had a b s o l u t e l y NOOOOOOO signal!!! Each message made me feel more disappointed...HE sounded great but wanting to connect with me...I am so happy you ladies connnected with those precious ones and it sounds good for us all thank God! Matt said, on his message, 36 days - I will count each one and pray....

I sent Matt just the basic info on his fellow navy mom recruits lets see if they connect....

Oh Denise .... dang so sorry you missed your SR's phone calls ...... I hope he will get a chance to try calling you again !!! At least you have recorded messages :):)

Miriam .... So cool you had a nice conversation with your daughter .....sure settles the heart ...huh?!!!

To everyone who got the chance to chat with your SR...... Congrats!!!  What a blessing to hear their voices!!!

Oh and did they tell you DIV 034 won a scholastic flag today !!!!! Congrats to them :):):)

Kimberlydale, it sure does settles the heart and the fact that they won a scholastic flag is absolutely AWSOME!!

CONGRATS DIV 034 ON MAKING YOUR MAMA PROUD!!!

me yelling like a nut :D

OH NOOOO!!!! I'm so sorry to hear that I know how much you were looking forward to hearing his voice. At least like Kimberlydale says, you have it recorded and you can go back to it from time to time and hopefully that might give you a little bit of comfort and maybe they'll get a chance to call back. Rest assured though they are doing well. If they all feel like my daughter does, they're just dying to finish boot camp and start with the rest of their lives. It's hard but they have eachother to keep them strong. They miss us but they know it's only going to be for a little while and whatever we do... do NOT stop writing to them. My daughter told me "Mom, please don't stop writing to me. I read each of those letters every day!" "If I don't write back it's because I just don't have time to write sometimes I only get two hours of sleep." That broke my heart especially since I didn't write to her yesterday :-|

So, the same way they grab streigth from eachother we have to do the same, and whatever info I have I'll let you guys know. The important thing I got from my 25 minute conversation is that they're all fine (relatively), they're just dying to get this over with and most importantly DO NOT STOP WRITING TO THEM WRITE TO THEM EVERYY DAY! They really do need our support. Little tips on writing, I go online and talk about everything from the news to the Kardashians, to J-Ho, politics anything I can make fun of I will and I'll shoot the letter off to her nothing dramatic all funny stuff... trust me you don't have to look far sometimes ;0)

Have a great day ladies - God bless!

GOD BLESS OUR FUTURE SAILOR!!!

Oh Miriam ...you are great !!!! I crack up at your notes of encouragement ......I love that you are so positive !!! Thank you and I bet your daughter absolutely LOVES your letters !!!

Have a great evening ;):) Kim

Aww thanks Kimberlydale, I hope so! I've cried so much you can't do anything else but be positive and make fun of things that are funny like the Kardashians... JHo (girl, don't EVEN get me started on that one) she is such a trip ;0) Thanks for your kind words though!!

Have a great weekend :)

miriam

Hey ya'll. I'm not a Ship 07 Div 034 mom, I'm a fiance :) So far I've had 2 phone calls and 4 letters. (My letter day is Thursdays.) Can someone explain the flags to me? I wasn't told about that at all when I got my long phone call!

Hi Jessica!

Wow, two phone calls how amazing is that?!? I only got the one "i'm here" and the "i'm still alive" which lasted 25 minutes but still very cool... very cool :)

About the flags, i'm not 100% sure but I believe each division has its own flag - whether they make them or how their made that i'm not sure but I believe they have to come up with it... again, not sure about that - sorry!

- miriam

Hello my N4m friends ....:):) Well it was great last week getting phone calls and two letters ....I felt connected with my SR again......But then it hit me again and I got so sad and depressed !!! Sure hope to get letters soon !!! Hope you are all doing well and Christmas shopping is going good. My husband and I got our lights and decorations up and hopefully will go up in the woods to get our tree this weekend.  Oh and I talked to Sarge yesterday and made arrangements to have him pick us up at the airport - and he is a wealth of information. Great TALKING to someone from the area that knows the way around. We have made reservations at the Navy Lodge , but I think after talking to him , I am going to change our reservations - only because we will not have a car and he said there are other hotels with amenities (full breakfast, pool, etc) and centrally located where we could walk to stores or restaurants .

Have a lovely evening you all :):) Kim

I

Thanks for the welcome, ya'll. Mrs. Miriam, we got technically a bunch of phone calls, the I'm here, and the I'm still alive, and then we've gotten a few "Can you give me this information?" phone calls. Mrs. Denise, thanks for the link, it helped a bunch. :) I think we're down to about 29 or so days now?

Rather exciting.
