Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

A-School Class 1152T
Good Morning All,
I thought I would start a discussion group for my son's A-school Class 1152T. The class started on Monday, Oct. 3rd.
I am going for a visit this weekend and will give an update........I am so excited to spend time with my son and very excited to see the city as this will be my first time to Charleston, SC. I'm staying at Hampton Inn - North Charleston. Anyone stayed there before? South Living recommends Hyman's Restaurant and Palmetto Carriage Tours; hoping to try them both :-)

my son did tell me they were going to have two classes of MMs this time to get them through because there are a alot of them at gc. maybe that is why there is a B!! just a guess!!

I agree, love the tip. My Arizona boy was not used to all the new plants in GL. Did a number on his allergies the whole time he was there - bc was really rough for him because of it. After the fifth trip to medical - they finally got it right and treated him with allergy meds and he was fine. I had warned him before he left to keep his allergies in mind if he got sick. Wrote me and said "Mom, I will never trust another dr. - you are it for me!" I laughed - first time I had heard that, he usually wouldn't take meds when I suggested it.

hello!!
we are back from goose creek!! we had an amazing time. went to the mall where my sailor seems to go almost every weekend. it is kinda nice to have a picture of some of the places they are usually talking about. i hope you all had a good thanksgiving!!!
has anyones sailor said anything about when they think they might graduaute from A school? matthew said he thought sometime around jan.20th, but wasnt sure.

While we were in GC they mentioned that they1152B would be graduating on Jan 17th. Tina are you planing on going when they graduate A school?

no, we arent planning to go then. matthew said it really wouldnt be worth the trip. we have been down for thanksgiving and he will be home for christmas. we arent planning to go till the summer now. will they be on t-track after they graduate from A school? what exactly is that? if you happen to know.

My son is an ET and he expects to graduate March 30 - his A school is 6 months long. He's been told (although it's a long way off) that his T-track will likely last 2 months. From what I gather - they stand weird watches during T-track - I think they're called 12/24 - they stand a 12 hour watch like 7a -7p then are off 24 and stand another 12 hour watch - 7p - 7a. Sounds dreadful changing nights and days every other day, but I guess they getting them set for weird shifts with the fleet.

My son is hanging in there - the classes are HARD, but he's doing ok - has a 3.0 average and mandatory study hours of 2/15 which I think means he's required to study 2 hours every day preceding a classroom day and must have a total of 15 hours per week. I think he's got his head on straight at this point - I hope! Yours?

Hey elkinsd! Merry Christmas! Our son is home on leave for the holidays and I couldn't be happier. We met him at the airport and I put a big red bow on him and declared that my gift had arrived. Best gift ever!!!! I'm glad you started this I enjoyed the RTC fb page and connecting with our BC div.

I very much enjoyed my Sailor being home for the holidays....yesterday was sad, my last day to see him before he goes back to Goose Creek, but we had a great day!

evi--my son is doing ok at school. he saids there is alot to remember. he is now engaged!! he popped the question on christmas eve!! i am finally going to have a daughter!!
