My SR also said they would be very busy for Hell Week. He mostly sounded excited about it, but said they will have very long days. I'm hoping he wrote last Sunday, and I'll get a letter on Thursday. I have also been busy getting out my Christmas decor. I have never been this early before! I just didn't feel like cutting a 12' tree like last year, when my "boys" picked it out of the woods. This year it's a little 2' live tree from Home Depot to plant later (I guess I could say in honor of his going in the Navy!) Wish my son could come home to enjoy it, but he is going straight to A school. And we'll be at his Grandma's for Christmas this year anyway. So my prayers are going out to all our SR's this week!
Crystal are you getting bullied on facebook? i just saw your entries but missed what was said back to you, I have found a few people on there who I don't know but I don't like. some can be very condescending, don't get yourself worked up over them, Take deep breathes.
Got another letter from my son today. He said battle stations was on Dec 18th. Says he's actually getting excited about it. I can't wait to get that phone call on the 19th! I have to share a comment he made in his letter about Thanksgiving "I spent Thanksgiving with my new family of 78 guys. We all eat, sleep, shower and shit together so we are really getting pretty close". Can't you just invision all these guys living together! This is a life changing experience for all of them. Hopefully they've all learned to get along with each other and work as a team.
Yes, my son said that they had quite a feast on Thanksgiving. Sounds like he had a good time. Haven't heard much since from him, though.
Lora got my pkg of ribbons today and wearing it proudly on my coat, thank you so much, on my way to deliver the rest to the aunts and grandmothers.....Michelle
Hi Michelle, are you still on? I haven't heard from my son since his call last Sat. I was hoping for a letter. It sounds like they are about done with Hell Week, according to some other post I read. What do you think? Have you heard any more from him? Are you on the bootcamp family? I'm still trying to figure out who our own division moms are. Everyone gets mixed up. I'm trying to keep a list.
I did get a letter thursday, Hell week started tues. and would last 4 days, they started training on Mon. not sure what though, at least that will break their day up some. he did say that his division is finally working together and listening so that is good. He even said that his chief and petty officer joked with them some on thanksgiving but the female marine is always in bootcamp mode. She is in a man's world there so I guess she has to be tough. It was a short but sweet letter. Not sure what the bootcamp family is. i check the Navy Recruit Training command facebook page. You will have to let me know where to find it. There are only a few of us on this site. We will have to find each other at Graduation, of course we only know each other by our secret entry name, except for me I couldn't think of anything catchy....Michelle

Michelle, the group is on facebook. type in " Navy Bootcamp Family Unite! " but I'm not sure if that will work. My Facebook name is Paula Tremain, I think if you friend me then I can friend you. It's very weird, I can't remember. But I think you have to friend me first in regular facebook. There are 160 members, most with the PIR of 12/29. I've been trying to figure out who isn't on the other site yet. My problem with N4M is that it uses up a tremendous amount of my satellite air time, I need to wait until after 11 pm pacific time. I would like to get Margie, Leilla, and MIchelleC, on it too. Angeltoe is already on it. And Crystal too. So I'd like you girls to try to get on, try to friend me. Pass it on!
That is awesome Michelle, I am so glad you like them :-)
Margie not sure if you are sending me messages, but somehow the same one keeps coming through, I'm not good at this either I have to ask my sons when it comes to the computer. The boys should be done hell week today if what he told me is right and they are in some kind of training to.Counting the days wishing my life away again for the 29th.
I sent it twice, but could not see that it had gone to you. Sorry. Yes I am counting down too, hoping for a call tomorrow.
