Our sailor leaving for boot 12/5.  Exactly what should he take with him other than clothes on his back - any toiletries at all?  He leaves from Jacksonville, FL.  Anyone been to Jax for swearing in?

Thank you!

I'm joining this as a girlfriend, hope no one minds :).  I checked out a few of the other forums, but the girlfriend/wife sites don't seem to have as much traffic.  Anyways, I took my boyfriend to the hotel last night, and he's flying out of buffalo around 5 today.  It's been nice to be able to talk to him all day today after saying goodbye yesterday!  But, point of this was, glad to know someone in the same boot camp :).

can someone tell me when I can expect a phone call from my son when they get to Great Lakes.

When do we get their phone call. My son arrive at chicago airport ok but I never got the
Call from great lakes:(

Akeylimepie

thanks  for getting back to me. I just got off the phone with MEPS.  And the lady was real nice and said that my son was there. But asked who else he might of call, because they are to make that one phone call. But she was going to call GL but they are 1 hr behind us. But she has going to make sure that he is process in than give me a call back.  So I guess we set back and wait. I will let us know what happens.  But this might give you some info as to what to do.  Hope to keep in contact with you as the 8 wks go by. We can hold hands together.  I wish you luck and hope you get your call.

I got the call last night at like 11:30pm, and he said that they're going to be up like 24 hours as they wait for everyone else flying in.  They want them to be on the same sleep schedule or something.  Hope you hear from him soon :)

I think I missed my sons call and left no message. That really made me feel I let him down :(

I think he is Ship 03 Div 056 looking forward to his letters.

Turning in last night I did not get any sleep.

Thank you
