Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I did too!! I loved to hear his voice but he mostly spoke with his Dad about all the training and the beds are not that great. Josh sounded well a little homesick which made me feel good because I miss him being home a bittersweet moment : ) : (

I got a call, too! Yay. Actually he called 3 times. First to speak to me, then his sister and then dad. He sounded great. So happy to hear his voice. I'm glad to hear so many others called home, too.

So happy to have heard from my SR today and couldn't stop smiling for at least 3 hours . . . and will sleep for real tonight I think!

I got my call at about 5 this evening. He says it makes his day when my letters make him giggle. Awwww! I can still help him and be with him and take care of him. I just do it from a distance with a stamp. The hardest part of all this was I never mastered being a totally good mom and I thought I had run out of time. I still have some chances to get it right. That probably makes no sense. Blame it on the rollercoaster. I just stepped off and I'm still a little dizzy.

I think I'm going to leave the board. This is too upsetting and depressing. All I'm thinking about are what-if's. I'm just a fiance, he could have easily changed his mind and since *everyone* else got a call except me, I'm pretty sure that's the loudest message he could send from Great Lakes. I hope the rest of the time is good for you ladies.

So, I cooled down and found out my SR didn't get to call because he was having his wisdom teeth removed/on bed rest when the divison called. I did get 6 letters today and I'm so glad that we are half done!
