We got in touch with my son's recruiter & he gave me her ship/div. I'm so happy right now :) we can write him, we never got his call. Want to get in touch with any others that have SRs in this ship/div #

When did your son leave for Boot Camp? I have a son at Boot Camp right now, he left Dec. 6th. I just got his ship/div# from our recruiter last night. It's not the same as your son, but thought I would check to see how far in this phase of the Navy Experience you are.
My son left 12/5 - not far into at all just by 1 day! Im trying to read a lot on this website when I have time very helpful information.
Add me as a friend - we could help each other and share information. We never got the phone call but got his box. Very emotional time but starting to write him. Not sure when he gets the mail hopefully soon.

If your SR has PIR on 02/03/2012, join the group, 2/3/2012 PIR (clickable link). I would think that he would be in that TG based on the Division number since the previous TG ends with Division 52 and there are usually at least 4 regular divisions in a TG.
I also got my son's ship and division from his recruiter 03/056! I have not found anyone else.
Awesome! Our son's are together but may not know each other? My son left from Jacksonville, FL how about your sailor?
Hey our son is the same ship 03 but Div 055
Just got the form letter yesterday with a short note on the back.
Divisions 055 and 056 are Brother Divisions and are on the same ship and train together and will have Battle Stations 21 together.
You got a the letter? That is awesome? How many days since your sailor left for BC did you receive the letter?
We sure hope to receive it soon! Never got his call and just want to hear something from him!
He got to Great Lakes on Dec 5th and we got the form letter on the 10th but we live in WI about 5 hours away.
I bet you get yours in a few days. Grad is Feb 3rd.
I got the very short call that he made it on Monday. He left home while I was away on biz so that was hard or maybe it was better for us both.
Thanks for the info lemonelephant about 55 & 56 being brother divisions that's good to know.
Our other son just finished Marine Boot Camp in Nov so here we go again!
My daughter is on Ship 03, Div 055! 17 more days until PIR! I'm so excited to see her! I can't wait to meet everyone there. My sister Tammy makes postcards from the avery website and we use the IMIKI application on the IPHONE to upload photos and make funny post cards up with pictures from home on them. It's nice because you can write a quick note on the back of it like a regular postcard and its a way for her to get letters and pictures all in one and take up less space in her drawer. We also printed up labels with her address on it so it makes it easier to send them. We gather a bunch of postcards at once and run them through meter for postage. It makes it easier to have one handy so we can send one or more out a day. It's also great for people who don't have much time to write but want to reach out just to say a quick hello and I'm thinking of you. We handed them out during our annual New Years eve party. Everyone got to fill them out she was able to hear from all the attendees about the party and made her feel like she was there. She said the picture post cards are a big hit with all the other people in her division. They all know who aunt Tammy is and they look forward to seeing her pictures and ask for her to keep them coming. We've been over the top on keeping in touch! She apparently broke the record for most mail received by a recruit on the first mail day ever. I think as a result they wound up putting her in charge of the mail for her division. She likes it. She said she feels like Santa Claus giving out gifts from home and everyone is happy to see her coming!
