Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I see that there are 2 meet and greets. There is one at the Ramada, and one at the Sundance Saloon. If you are going, which one are you going to any why? I am still trying to decide.

We picked the Sundance since I read so many good things about what Sarge does there. I heard the Ramada wasn't in the best part of town too. We are staying really close to the Sundance and the shuttle there was free.

We will be going to Sarge's at the Sundance Saloon. It's close to our motel and he sounds like an interesting man dedicated to supporting the military.

We are going to Sundance, but I think we were planning on stopping at Ramada, too, since the times overlap. I forget which starts first...

I got 2 letters on Friday along with the survey I sent (all in the self addressed envelope I sent with it). I started sending self addressed stamped envelopes in every letter now. My SR is in charge of the mail!!
He sounded good, passed all of his tests so far and physically qualified for spec ops and seals but said something about Nukes not being able to switch. That's fine! I love that he picked Nuke and will use that brain he never used in high school!
He said that not being allowed to talk to the girls is torture! Thought that was funny and sounded so much like him.

I got a phone call !!!!!! He called my office and started with "Happy Birthday to me! Hi Mom!" I immediately yelled at the girl in the next office to call my husband and he ran right over. He seems to be doing fabulous! That totally made my day and I hope you all got your calls too. He didn't get an hour but we did get 40 minutes so I will take whatever I can get.

I got a call too! He said things are great. We got to talk for 45 minutes. I put him on conference call, so we all got to talk to him. It wasn't an hour, but every minute was amazing. Hoping everyone got their call. Merry Christmas!

I got my call, too! What a wonderful surprise it was. He updated me on all the stuff he's doing - I don't think he's ever been so busy in his life. Another 5 weeks, ladies, and we get to see our sailors. I miss him terribly, but I am so proud of him.
