Best wishes to your son, Maria. My son left on Dec 6th and I just received his "box" today. Now, I am waiting for the famous form letter that everyone is talking about....

Malia our son left on the same day, call your recruiter he might have his address already, we got our's today from him.

Hi Maria, Hang in there ,we are on day three, our son left Dec. 6. So God Bless them all!!

From another Maria

Thank you all for the support, best wishes to your SR's as well. Malia i hope you get your letter tomorrow in the mail :)

Maria

My son arrived in Chicago last night 12/9/11 at 8:30 p.m. EST.  I heard from him once from the airport before the Navy came to pick him up while he told me more recruits were arriving.  I didn't hear again from him until 1:30 a.m. EST.  with that rushed phone call.  I'm here Mom.  Boot camp has started, you'll get the box.  It appears from my reading on this website that you get two different kind of calls while he is in there.  One, if they do really good...they allow them to call home for a short minute and the second one is if they are in trouble....I hope you and me get the first one.  I was looking for someone that just arrived yesterday and I'm glad you posted.  Keep me informed if you'd like and I'll do the same.  I find if I keep myself busy, I do better but there are times the mind goes right to the moment.  Take care and God bless.

Hi i just accepted your friend request. Yes my son arrived on 12/9/2011, he called me about 10:00pm AZ time which is about midnight Chicago time. He called me from his cell phone about 5:30pm which was about 730pm in Chicago if im not mistaken. then he called me again from RTC at about midnight. He said i will receive the box in about a week and  then a letter a week after. We shall see what haps this week, i will keep you posted, i'm glad i found someone that arrived the same day. Nice to meet you, take care and blessings,

Maria  : )

My son left Dec 6 too. Can't wait to hear who all is in our Division. So far me and MMT are together. :)

Hello!

We will be looking for the mom/wife/GF etc. who will be interested in creating the 02/10/2012 PIR group.

Probably someone who's recruit is arriving at RTC between 12/07 – 12/13. Not really sure where the “cut off” point even “kind of” is with all the holidays recently. This next Training Group starts with Division 061 and will have the performing division of 912. So if you get that info either in your form letter or from your recruiter that would help.

Please remember that when I post dates of when your SR may PIR...it is not exact. I am basing it on the earliest reports and making an "educated" guess on the cutoff date for a TG. BC can be anywhere from 7.5 to 9 weeks. It is also possible for recruits to arrive in the same week…or day…but have different PIR dates. Your recruiter may have your recruit’s ship/division as early as 72 hours after arriving at BC. I will take this ship/div # for the purpose of starting a PIR group BUT please wait for the form letter that your recruit will send home to address your mail and send it. The address your recruiter gets oftentimes is incomplete or has too much information that is not necessary for the address.

Ladies, if it is something you think you'd be interested in...Friend me, send me a message and get details.

Thank You!

My son is SHIP 07 DIV 064 - He arrived on 12-8-2011.  Do you think his PIR will be on 02-10-2012?

I think my sons PIR might be on 2/10/2012 don't know for sure, have not received the box and he arrived on 12/9/2011. I will be in touch. Good night! ;)

My son also arrived to BC on 12/9 from Arkansas. I am still having such a hard time. I have 2 younger sons and they are suffering as well. Our home just isn't the same. I'm a single mom so that makes it that much worse. No one around here really understands what I'm going through. I am going to see is the recruiter has his address today. I just need to communicate with my son somehow....

sorry to hear that you are having a hard time. it was a rough night for me too. i cried because i miss him too and i have not heard anything. i havent even received the so called box either, nothing. Let's see if something arrives today. i will be in touch. hang in there! just try to keep yourself busy.
