OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

St. Medard, entreat our Father of the Heavens and of this earth
To protect us from bad weather
Just as He protected you in your time of need.
Ask Him to comfort us with sunny skies,
Cool us with soft breezes,
Warm us with His love and sunlight.
Watch over our friends and family
And shelter us from all storms.
Amen
Amen! I hope everyone will be okay and they don't suffer too much damage. I'll be watching the weather tomorrow.
Been watching with the rest of us N4Ms. Our prayers to all who are close.
well,I live in the Ft.worth area and we are also under a close watch. It took me an hour to get home when it ususally only takes 15 minutes. The houston area has been evacuted and we had lots of traffic. But I'm ok with that.It just means those people are safe and heading to high ground. We have been warned to stock up on supplys.Because we will probably be without power and have high winds from the after effects.Thank you for your prayers we will need them.
Well, we left Lafayette, La today to head to... GL for PIR! We called home and asked neighbors to pick up the loose stuff (again!) in the yard... Heard we are in for tropical storm force winds this time (as opposed to hurricane force ones LAST week...) But nothing was going to stop me from seeing my SAILOR.

Prayers to all our moms across Texas, La, Miss, and Alabama.
Suzanne,
I am so glad you made it to an airport before it closed. I know that you were worried about that last week. You were not going to miss PIR. Have a great time.
Brenda Sue is here with me so she is safe... take care all and Lynn Dear GET OUT!!!!
Tell Brenda I am glad she is safe. I am still in Orange. We live on the north side of Orange, so my family stayed. Let me know if you are concerned about anything and I will check it for you when I can. God Bless You!

It is 04:45am and I am preparing to work in my hospital for the whole weekend. We have 20 evacuated patients from Victoria, in addition to our own, making for a very busy time. I have packed up my car with bedding, candles, music for the off times, and might offer free dance lessons - "Boogie Woogie with Wound Care"!
To all folk along the Texas Coast, stay safe. Moira Taylor in Tomball
We're here in Palestine, on Ike's route up from the coast. We're supposed to get heavy rains and high winds, but are prepared with water, batteries, food, and generator. We're on high ground and should be safe. Many evacuees are coming here from the coast. We've got everyone in our prayers.
Thoughts and prayers are with you all in "Ike"s" path.
