Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Got an early morning call this am from my SR saying she was being separated. Wow ! I am in shock with just 30 days left. She said it was 2311. Not sure what happened and if hearing our voices on the phone made her homesick or what. She has wanted to be in the Navy for several years now, and this must be very hard for her. I am at a loss for words and did not see this coming.

Omg Leann, I am sorry. My SR is having a really hard time as well (emotionally) and has been fighting an injury with an infection (cellulitis). I spoke with her in Thursday and she was so emotional. I never saw this coming. She was so involved for months and took on leadership roles and always did well with seperation. She blew me away. Hang in there Leann.

I know several of you have ordered ribbons from me to wear to PIR. All of those orders have now been shipped. Please let me know what you think of them when they arrive. I am sure you will love them :-D With the holidays here the shipping seems to be taking an extra day or two depending on how far you are from me but hopefully you will all have them by this Friday or Tuesday at the latest. The mail doesn't run on Monday so letters from your SR's will probably be delayed next week as well. If anyone else would like to order the ribbons to wear to PIR to support your Sailor just send me a friend request on this site or send me an email to uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com and I will send you all the ribbon info as well as some helpful tips for PIR. You have more time to place your order if you want to wait until after Christmas :-) I hope you all have a great day.
