We have been receiving letters from our SR quite frequently.  We have asked him a lot of questions and he has been quite candid. He said he has met a lot of cool people from the south (we are from the north) and they have talked about video games music and movies but they don’t have much time to talk.  He also told us about their 3 RDC’S and it sounds like they are a high quality group of individuals. So I feel our SR’S are in good hands and they are squeezing the best out of them. Did any of your SR’S receive a promotion?

Our SR still mentions that he is still home sick but it doesn’t seem to slow him down.

Thanks for all the support and Have a very Merry Christmas!!

Mine keeps sending all of his with his Sunday letters. He advanced as well. He said this week they would be doing the simulated fire and live fire (weapons). Sounds like he was looking forward to that. :)

Dadyellow,

I have been receiving letters quite frequently, as you have. It's so nice to come home after a rough day at work, to be refreshed with laughter from my SR and his letters. I miss him so but am so proud of him and all that he has accomplished.

I have seen such a confidence boost in him, through his letters and I can't wait to see it in person, we don't have much longer!

My SR says they have a great RDC's and brags about the best food ever.

I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas!

My Sr said that the food was good but many of them suffer with gas and being bound up...L.O.L.

But I beleive the selection process even to be able to get to boot camp added to boot camp will provide us with some of the highest qualified individuals this country can offer.

I have only gotten a few letters, however, they have been very uplifting:) My SR stated that he got a promotion and said that the food is good....See ya'll soon (@dadyellow-I guess that you can tell I'm from the south)!! Thanks for the information and to all a blessed and Merry Christmas!!

We are driving up to spend Christmas with our SR, and will be adopting a friend of his, too.  I wish there was some way to let that SR's family know that he'll be spending the day with us, and arrange for a skype session.   Any ideas?

Latest news   from our SR, Sounds like they did Firearms training and live fire this week which our SR enjoyed.  Did any of your SR's earn a ribbon?   Also sounds like their division has earned 3 flags so far, I beleive these flags are awarded to the division for group effort at acheiving a certan level at PT and other training.  He also said they might not graduate in their dress blues due to low inventory on some sizes.

AWESOME!!! GO SHIP 07/DIVISION 035.... AS ALWAYS THANKS FOR THE UPDATES!!! MY SR HAS NOT WRITTEN AS OFTEN AND HAVE GOTTEN NO PHONE CALL.  I HAD HEARD SOME "RUMORS" ON FACEBOOK THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE IN THEIR "DRESS BLUES FOR PIR, BUT THE RTC COULD NOT CONFIRM AT THIS TIME.  THANKS AGAIN:)

This rumor has been going around for every single graduation group. I think they just tell them that to just keep it in mind.

I know several of you have ordered ribbons from me to wear to PIR. All of those orders have now been shipped. Please let me know what you think of them when they arrive. I am sure you will love them :-D With the holidays here the shipping seems to be taking an extra day or two depending on how far you are from me but hopefully you will all have them by this Friday or Tuesday at the latest. The mail doesn't run on Monday so letters from your SR's will probably be delayed next week as well. If anyone else would like to order the ribbons to wear to PIR to support your Sailor just send me a friend request on this site or send me an email to uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com and I will send you all the ribbon info as well as some helpful tips for PIR. I hope you all have a great day.

We got a wonderful letter from our SR and he seems to be doing really well.  He was joking to his brother that if he didn't like his chores he could always move our and join the navy. lol  Everyone in the house gets a lift when his letters come.  He's even writing to his brother and sister that don't live at home anymore.  Wonderful :)

For anyone going to visit for Christmas - I called our hotel (La Quinta) and they had of list of places that were open on Christmas day for food.  It was quited an extensive list so finding food is no longer a concern.  Have a great Christmas everyone.

Thanks Sailormoon. I also was concerned aobout where to eat on Christmas.
