For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

I'm in San Jose- northern Cali
that is awesome how much you are sacrificing for your son. I would sell about anything to get to see my son. We only have about a four hour drive. Goodluck to you and glad you get to make it. Our boys are in same division.

So happy that you're spending Christmas with your son, how xciting! I'm jealous though, a 7 page letter.
I know my son will be fine, he was prepared for being away.But it is Christmas, and his first being away.Am I prepared??? :>)
i thought i was prepared.... not doing so well.... it just doesn't feel like christmas... Im trying not to be all gloomy.
but it will all be ok... BECAUSE WE HAVE 28 DAYS LEFT...YAY
so excited we are leaving sat. morning. our SR is from IN and the friend he is getting out with us is from TX.
oh wow proudmom... you guys are gonna have sooooo much fun..... I told my SR that when he get to where ever he's going and has access to a computer w/ webcam to connect skype... TOTALLY forgot about facetime.. hubby and my sr's brother have ipod touch 4th generation woohoo... but if not ... thats ok too.. i know i'll atleast get to talk to him on christmas.. NOT GOING ANYWHERE so i'll have electricity to keep my phone charged hahahha Oh they will so enjoy their time off base... you will do fine as a "surrogate" mom LOL I know...TIME IS FLYING WHILE WERE FREAKING OUT... whats up with that?? usually it takes forever...Kinda like waiting up for Santa LOL...sooo happy for all the families who are heading up to RTC.... and thank you to all those who are hosting our recruits!!!!!
