Hi ladies, how's everyone doing? At work today I heard this loud base thump from a car stereo and for a split second I thought it was my son.:( Any news from anyone? I was exploring this site last night and found that two moms received phone calls Sunday from their recruits on Sunday but missed the call, they weren't expecting calls this soon. I feel so bad for them....they went in the same time as ours did just another division. I read about the greet and meet the night before graduation, I think it may be fun to go, anyone else thinking of going to it too?

I received a phone call from my son today, i was so surprised to hear from him,  but so happy.  I tried to ask if he was ok and all,  but he told me he couldn't talk about that right now,  just needed information from me for a form he was having to fill out.  He was also allowed to call his brother and his dad.  It was a nice surprise for us all :)

Hope everyone is doing ok. Hopefully we will all receive a call this weekend for Christmas, that would be so awesome!!! Hope to hear from you ladies soon. ;)

Hello Ladies,

My son is also Ship 11 Div 067.  I received a letter about graduation but I also got a phone call from him today to get information for some forms he was having to fill out,  he couldnt say much but was so happy to hear from him.  We are from South Carolina,  Im so happy to have found this group.

Welcome Ashley, wow I'm so glad you received a phone call......its two weeks today but seems so much longer. I miss my boy so much. I hope we get a letter or phone call here soon. Somewhere here I read that Thursday is the usual day to receive a letter if one is coming. I don't know just grasping for hope today.
Thanks ladies for sharing, It helps me.....

Merry Christmas Ladies.....I'm trying to be all happy and cheery but not doing to well today. I hope we hear something from our children or spouse whatever the case maybe.. First Christmas apart it flippin stinks...now Im questioning it all

Kitty,  Maybe we will all get one of those phone calls tomorrow,  Im missing my son so much too.  Im wondering what they are doing tonight ,  can't help it.  I think this Christmas will be a little tough for us all.  I broke down a little bit earlier,  just couldn't help myself.  I will have my phone in my hand all day tomorrow hoping for that phone call   :)

Hi Ashley !

We think about what they are doing every minute of the day.  I have forwarded my home phone to my cell so that I will never miss our son's call.  My husband and I  just said we wonder what they will have for Christmas dinner.  So many questions and no answers yet !  LOL

Merry Christmas to you and your family

Merry Christmas to you and your family too Sonia !!  I have wondered the same thing about the Christmas dinner.  I can't wait to get some of those answers to those questions !!  Im curious to know how my son felt flying,  none of us have ever flew before.  He flew from Charlotte NC so i think it was about a 2  to 2 1/2 hour flight.  Im also curious how he likes the cold,  it is so mild here I bet it is a shock  lol.

Hi Ashley !  Did he have others going with him to bootcamp ?  If so that probably helped a lot flying.  We live about 2 1/2 hours from the base and there is no snow here or there.  We are from Florida, but have lived in the North for about 13 years.  It's cold, but  not like it will be when we finally get some snow.  So are you coming up for the graduation.  If so have you made your hotel reservations yet ?? We are staying at the Spring Hill in Gurnee/Waukegan.  It's just North of the base.

Good Morning, Kitty !!  Our son is also Ship 11 DIV 67 !  I had my days this past week, but seem to be ok today.  Hoping as you to hear from our son.  He is our only child and sure miss him. Hope you have a good day tomorrow.  We just made our hotel reservations and before you know it, graduation will be here.

Merry Christmas to you and your family !

Hi Sonia,

Thank you for caring. It's been a difficult day, I came home from work earlie as I have had bouts of crying all day. Checked the mail box and nothing. I feel like a Mack truck has hit me. We really only have our two kids and our son being the youngest and always around til now. Our daughter lives out of town so she's not here. Your son being yr only child must make it difficult too. I made our reservations the other day too.
Where are you staying at?
Merry christmas and hopefully we get a call tomorrow.
