Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Merry Christmas, Everyone !!!!

 
For those of you that are one Facebook !!  This was posted a few a hours ago from Navy Recruit Training Command.  They have a facebook page !!!   This is so awesome !!!!
 
Merry Christmas to all of you from all of us at RTC!

Today, some of you will be seeing your recruit for the day during the Adopt-A-Sailor program. Others of you will be hearing from your recruits that get adopted by organizations who make it possible for them to use phones and computers. Others might see their recruits online via various media news that visit the organizations and of which we will post as they become available. Yes, the Public Affairs Office is working this morning to make this all possible.

Still yet, others might receive a phone call if your recruit's division is scheduled for a time slot at the phone center.

But wait! There's more! As our Christmas gift to our Facebook friends, Sue will be running around and taking some random photos of the recruits in their compartments and post them here. Mind you, I cannot photograph all of them, but I will do my best to get many.

Well, I didn't see my son, but seeing all of the other recruits looking happy did me some good. Hope your Christmas was great!

Hi Hope !  Received no call today but found out 067 is not working together real well, so that why no call.  Hope you had a great day also !

They will pull it together.Things are tough at the beginning, but they end up really bonding and learning to work together. I have an older son who went through Navy boot camp last year, and my husband is Air Force and went through basic a LONG time ago. Both look back on it fondly. They meet people who are going to be lifelong friends and learn they are capable of a lot more than they thought!

I'm it is very difficult at the beginning !  You are putting kids in a group and making do the samething together ! LOL !!!!  I'm sure now that they have found out no calling or letters until they get their shit together, things will improve.
