Good morning ladies! Merry Christmas!

Hopeful, you could never overdo it with the mail. My husband got 16 letters in one day! He said that he is running out of room for mail, but he thinks that many of the guys wish they had more. And as far as you being mom (versus wife), don't worry about it. My husband got teary-eyed on the phone when he got to say hello to his mom. The holidays will make anyone miss any member of the family :) I am 26 now and still need my mommy!

The PIR 1/27/12 page is the group that you go to in order to get to this specific division's discussion group. I think that there is a "graduation information" link posted under the countdown and weather information. That is where I got the info for the pictures.

My SR is going to Dam Neck, Virginia for A-school. Anyone else?

Keep this day postitive ladies. Our SR's need to keep it together themselves, so we won't help them any by being depressed. Count your blessings! Our SR's are alive and well, and doing exactly what they want to do right now. There is much joy in knowing that they are on the road to something life changing. Merry Christmas; only 31 more days until we see them at PIR!

Merry Christmas all.  This is Div 049 I pulled this from Facebook page U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command page.

Aren't they great!  I was just looking at this and wondering how to post it here, thank you for doing that.

i cant see my son at all,i looked at every kid  even my daughter cant find him on here either. hes probably the one standing behind that woman thats all covered up except for the top of his hair...just my luck

I too was wondering why only one person was wearing a hat.

David is in the third row, just left of center (their left), wearing those BCG's.

Hehe I was soooo depressed and imbarrassed when I saw the pic and couldn't pick my out! However I think we have figured out which one he is I think he is in the back row the tallest head....he has to be standing on something cause he is not that tall.

thank you tonya for the picture info

No phone call for me, nor a letter today. I hope that the mail is just running behind. I miss him so much, but had a great warm fuzzy feeling when I saw the picture of their division. My husband is the one right beside the lady (in different clothes). He isn't on the floor, nor is he standing; he's kind of in his own row right in the middle. It was as if I got to see him in real life. I can only imagine how it will feel to see him at PIR.

So sorry to hear about his pain.  Dry sockets or infections can happen with any tooth extraction.  I hope he gets it taken care of.

I recieved 2 letters today,  one dated on the 20th. the other on Christmas Day, letting my know they had their division picture taken.  He told me about the Tuesday/Thursday letter writing time.  I like it!!!  More letters for us!!!

Hi all

No letter for me today..haven't received one since he wrote on the 20th.  I'm beginning to doubt my mail carrier's abilities...my neighbors' mail was in my box today..hope MY mail isn't in someone else's mailbox!  Mindy I hope your son feels better soon, he might have dry socket which can be painful, I"m sure he'll go to the Doc if it continues to be bad.  Tonya, is your husband to the right of the lady?

2 letters for me today as well!! My husband had his wisdom teeth out when he was in the navy and said they got really infected, hopefully thats not whats going on with your son mindy. My son also said the same about the letter writing on tues and thurs, He wasnt in the picture he had watch the time the picture was taken:(  so i wasnt crazy when i said i couldnt find him

I didn't get a letter today either :( I'm sure that he would have written me on Christmas day if he had the chance too, so hopefully it will come tomorrow. One of his letters a couple of weeks ago did end up in my neighbor's mailbox, so hopefully that isn't happening to anyone else, and hasn't happened to me again.

My husband is on the left of the lady (if you are looking at the picture). That would make the lady on His left. He's a cutie! I wish that I could zoom in, but when I do my computer just pixelates it. UGH.
