I received a call from my son saying he is being sent home....permanently. He didn't do anything wrong but was sent to a psychologist who made the call. I have such mixed emotions, but I am very glad that this forum gave me a chance to share my heart when it felt like it was breaking. I will continue to pray for all our sons and daughters who have committed their lives to serving out wonderful country and God bless all you moms!

I am sorry to hear this. If this helps I would feel very proud of my son for making joining, it is not his fault if there is something stopping him in this way. Good Luck to you and him.
Praying for you Kimberley. I'm so sorry for the disappointment you and your son must be feeling, but in my heart feel the Lord has His hand on him and is protecting and guiding his path. For whatever reason the Navy is not that path for him, but I do know the Lord knows what path is best for each of our children. Praying He will illuminate that path to your son, and take him on a journey beyond his wildest dreams. I'll be praying for peace and comfort for you both at this difficult time.
This is excellent advice.....I truly believe that things do - or don't - happen for reasons we can't see at the moment. There are somethings he (and most likely you) will have learned from this experience and will be apparent sometime down the road. Doesn't make it easy during this time, but rest assured we are on the right path....we just sometimes take little "road trips." It will all work out so hang in there.
Kimberly---So sorry to hear about your son, you need to join another group---Ship 5 (formally Ship 7) this is for SR that are sent to separations. He will be there for about 2 weeks or so. My daughter was separated also several months ago. In that group you can ask ??? and get support. So sorry to hear about him, it hurts so much.
Patricksmom and Texas mom of 2 said it so well. Don't always know why God puts the universe in motion in a way that sends us down a different path. Just remind him that he will need to grow and learn from this. Please try to help him set his path on a positive note. Andy Andrews said it so well in his book "The Noticer" "You are at the perfect place in your life for the most amazing future you could ever imagine". Sit back and see what that amazing life will hold for him...
I am so sorry Kimberley - there is a plan out there for your son - there is obviously a reason for this to happen now rather than down the line - however - i know this is probably not much consolation for you. We are all praying and hoping on our recruits - no one knows what can happen and there is a reason for everything - You are in my thoughts and yes, check out SHIP 5
So sorry Kimberley. Everything happens for a reason and this was not his plan. I am sure there are better things in store for him when he is on the right path for him. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Best of luck to all of you.
Take Care
Oh Kimberley, God comfort you as only he can. This could have happened to any one of us and I feel your pain. God wrap his loving arms around you at this time. I will be praying that this set back be a set up to launch your son into the bright future God has for him. I am going to committ to pray for you and your son.
Kimberley, God Bless you and your son through this tough walk. As moms, we all want our children to succeed w/o the experience of pain, yet God provides healing through pain and blessings through tears. Know that when you lay your sadness at the foot of the cross, He will carry your burden and clear the way for you both to see your son's true path. Turn to Him. You are in my prayers.
I just want to say thank you to everyone of you who have posted a reply and sent encouragement and prayers. I cannot even begin to tell you how much that has helped. I guess there won't be a real reason for me to continue to be a part of this group after next week but I feel like I have the best support group ever! Blessings (again) to all of you! ... Kimberley
So sorry to hear about your son. Remember when one door closes another one opens, we just may not understand the reasons for a while. It has amazed me how many are sent home from BC for many reasons during my time that I have been on here. He is to be commended for joining, it is just not where his path is supposed to be. I wish both of you well on this new journey you will be on.
