I'm so happy to hear this. Let's hope everyone receives a letter soon.

Hey MissNora.  Are you stil visiting the site?  I hope you've received a letter or call.  Are you interested in doing this scarf thing that people are talking about?

Yes, I would love to get in on the scarf. I'm fine with any color. If someone wants to make the decision I will go with it.

I think "momofson" told them we would take green for our group.  Is that good for you?

We've gotten two letters so far.  I am anxiously waiting for a phone call.  Any idea when they might be granted their phone calls?

I am waiting for that call also... Any one in this division attending PIR? Any thoughts on the scarf suggestion, other groups have started to pick their colors??

We will be going to PIR.  What is the scarf suggestion?  Please let me know, I would like to know what it is and would probably participate.  Have you come across very many people with SRs in 11/061?  There don't seem to be many of us out here.

11/061 does seem to be a quiet group. I got a call today, hope you did also. Seems like even though they have been there 4 weeks, but this is only the beginning of week 3 for them, due to P days and holidays.

What I have seen on the site is in winter there is a tradition for each division to  have their PIR guests wear scarves of a specific color to identify them to each other. Many colors are already spoken for. I will look for the list I saw yesterday here. You can buy them, may already have or someone suggested buying a couple yards of polar fleece fabric and cutting long strips. One way or another we will need lots of layers for Great Lakes in February...

I have been talking to another lady in a forum on the RTC site and she happened to mention this to me last night also.  I think it's a really good idea.  We should try to pick a color and order/make real soon so that we're ready.

From the site this list of colors already spoken for,

Ship 11, Div. 062: Royal PurpleShip 07 Div 063: YellowShip 11 Div 066: White

Ship 11, Div. 068: Royal Blue Ship 02, Div 912: Navy Blue Ship 04 Div. 806: Red

These are the colors taken so far.
Color ideas for those that still need one!
Orange, Sky Blue, Green, Silver, Gold, Gray, Brown (aka Chocolate), Magenta. Saw another group asking for sky blue. What does 11/061 think of gray or green??

I Iike either one.  Want to go for green?  I'm not very crafty.  Are they hard to make or would you be able to tell me where we would be able to order them?  Have you been on  the forum on the RTC fb page?

Green is fine by me, you can buy one, or make one . I saw on Navy4moms, someone does offer to make and sell, but you can also purchase from places like llbean, lands end etc. I will try to find the original discussion site. I will also post our color choice on the scarf discussion board
