Lori! You funny girl!!! I want to wear pants....would that be ok???
Hi everyone!
Just wanted to let you know that we got a letter today! Dated Jan 1. And she mentions some of your SRs! My daughter writes,
"I got your letter about the Navy For Moms website. I DO know those peeople! (Ellen's SR) is our master-at-arms for the division. He is a big teddy bear, even though he has 70% of his body covered in tatoos :). (hermomi's SR) is two bunks away from me and is going to corps school. She is a hoot to be around because she is from Jersey." LOL! --Now that our SRs know each other, and know that we know each other, this experience is even better!
My daughter writes that the division has gone from 97 people down to 84 due to ASMOs (medical, PT, code violation dismissals). And she said she was let go as a 'stick' because regulations state that 'sticks' must be 5'6" or under--she's 5'8". But she got a new job as the medical yeoman. That job allows her to get outside for a bit by herself and collect recruit medical appointment requests from all over the base.
She sounds really good in her letters and she mentioned that she is thankful for all of the friends she's made there. And I'm really grateful for the friends I've made here!
yes yes yes! we understand hermomi! Same for mine! Still my guy deep down! So proud and happy I can't even settle down and work! Funny how the littlest bit of news seems so BIG to us! I'm really grateful too! Here's to out Sr's!
suz You made my morning! Just got up! What a wonderful thing to wake up too! Just hearing my Sr referred too is beyond exciting! Pleas thank your Sr for me! Hemomi's too! I'll half to look back but I think her Sr is the one who complained about her underware! She does sound like a real hoot! Good Morning Everyone!
Good morning, I am so glad that we have all made the connection, and our SR's are all OK, and they are doing well. This makes me so happy. WHOO HOO My darling daughter is going to kill me for sharing that underware comment, but we all knew that was going to kill her! At least it's just us. LOL Have a great day !!
lol! Yes you are in trouble now! Can't wait to meet and hug your Sr's! Hope they wont mind! LOL! They're mine now too! by the way hermomi my Sr has a wild sense of humor too! Hopefully they also know each other!
Good for you lorimc! That's so exciting! Has anyone gotten a phone call yet?! My daughter said she would have phone privledges after the first of the year!
Gosh! A girl goes out of town for a couple of days and the message board just explodes with new stuff! Currently in Alabama (thinking of you, robin and lori) and found a minute to sneak on a computer. We wont be home until Saturday night, so I'm hoping there will be a letter waiting and I'm going to keep my cell phone glued to me until then and just pray I don't miss a phone call. I am so enjoying reading about everyone's recruits! Everyone have a good evening!
Welcome to Crimson Tide Country Hope! The weather was being very nice for you today! My mind has been racing today...thinking about letters, and phone calls, and white scarves, and being addicted to N4M....AND watching the countdown clock! 4 weeks down... 5 to go! Can you believe it???? Can't wait to meet you all!
