Hi, my name is chelsea and i am 100% greek. i was born and raised in crete until beginning of high school when i moved to the united states. my father was in the marine corp so he was away alot of the time so i lived with my yaya. my friends make fun of me and say i was brought up pretty much amish lol, my grandmother always had me wear my hair up. shed braid it into a bun && many other ways but never fully down. she told me that a womans hair is her greatest beauty to her husband and should be always worn up unless in the bedroom with him especially when we die and follow our husbands to heaven, so that itll be long and be able to wash his feet (sorry kinda old fashioned). when i moved to the united states and started public school i started to wear my hair down sometimes but very rarely. since getting married ive been wondering whether i should stick with my yayas advice and wear my hair up.

i was wondering what everyones opinion is on this...whether i should keep my hair up because im married or not?

&& if yes any updo hair ideas would be much appreciated.

That seems like personal preference. In American culture it is perfectly acceptable to wear your hair down no matter if you are single, married, young or old. But it seems like you have a pretty strong cultural background for wearing your hair up so it's up to you.

Is that your husband's last name in your username? If it is you'll need to change it. It's against OPSEC (operational security) rules to have his last name public like that.

Good luck and welcome!

Do what feels right to you, you're a free adult.  You could shave yourself bald and paint your head purple and it would be okay if that's what you wanted.

And yes, remove his last name from your username.  Technically that's PERSEC (personal security) not OPSEC, but it is not a good idea.  You never know who is reading this board.

i figured it out, thank you

She is talking about your screen name that posts when you post

yes, and how do i change my screen name?

Crazy question for you...but why do you wash your husbands feet?  Also is he American?

It's a thing in the Bible.

Ive never heard of that ever.. I say where your hair however you want to, when ever you want to.. My hair is def not a beautiful thing, I hate it lol. I actually we prefer it up in the bedroom cuz then its just in the way and in our faces

LOL, I hate hair in my mouth.

When I turned 50, I dyed my hair purple for an entire year.  Hubby liked it just fine.  I would have done it anyway.  I love getting older, I can love and respect people and still do what I damn well please.

Now I'm letting my hair go silver, just to see what's been changing under the dye these last few years.

I have purple streaks in my hair, lol!  First thing I did after retiring :~}
