Royal Blue would be very nice!

If you know any other ladies who have SRs in Div 068 that might not be on this site, please spread the word.  Blue would be great!  I'm going to announce it on the 02/10/12 PIR page so we can "reserve" that color....thanks!

This is the post I received when I requested information......

Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons has sent you a message on Navy For Moms

Subject: ribbons

------------ Hi, let me say thanks so much for your interest in the ribbons. You will find info below for ordering and directions for paying for your order. I will be sending you a second email with some helpful tips for PIR. If you have any questions at all you can reach me on Navy for Moms, email me or give me a call. My email is uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com and my number is 828-242-2721. My number one priority is to help families get through the bootcamp experience. I spend several hours a day on websites doing this and looking for any questions that need answered. Another way I pay it forward is by making ribbons. Many families have heard about the ribbons and have searched for me so they can get the ribbons to support their Sailor. I’ve been making ribbons for families to wear to PIR since my daughter was in bootcamp back in July of 2010. They are a great way to show support for your sailor. They also are a great way to recognize other families from the same division, and they make a great keepsake. I also make Window decals/bumper stickers, scrapbook embellishments for Military scrapbooks and tote bags and Kidle/E-Reader Bags. And you can now get fleece scarves as well. You can see pics of all the items I make on my facebook page Unique Memory Makers. (Pics of the scarves will be available tomorrow) I am currently working on my website and hope to have it finished soon. RIBBON INFO: (If you want to place a ribbon order please send the info below to me in a message so that I can get started on your ribbons). 1. Name of SR (first or last name, or what you want to be on the ribbon) 2. division number 3. PIR date 4. How many ribbons you want (suitable for men also, not frilly) 5. gold or silver letters (800 div's usually go with black ribbons and gold letters) 6. Your name and address for shipping 7. Your phone number in case I have any questions 8. Your email address 9. Is your sailor in bootcamp band or choir? (900 Div’s a music note added to ribbons) 10. Do you have another family member who is active duty/reserves/retired/veteran of the military? (flag added to each ribbon to honor them) 11. Will you be paying with PayPal or Mailing your payment? How to Pay: Your total order ships for $6.00. The ribbons are $6.50 each. If you buy 4 or more ribbons the price drops to $6.00 each. So you get 4 ribbons with Priority Shipping for $30.00. You can get window decals that will ship with your ribbon order for $5.00 each. And, you can add a scrapbook embellishment order with no added shipping cost that will also ship with your ribbons. When you send me your order I will send you a total. To pay with PayPal: Just go to paypal.com or your account and click on send money. In the box for who the payment is going to enter my email address: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com Running out of time? You can still use PayPal even if you don't have an account with your credit card, debit card, or a PayPal gift card available at most grocery or drug stores. To mail your payment: I accept checks or money orders made out to me or Unique Memory Makers. Mail your payment to me at: Unique Memory Makers, PO Box 885, Brevard NC 28712 Please include your SR's name, div and PIR date with your payment so I can mark your order as paid. Let me know once your payment has been mailed or paid through PayPal. Thanks so much and let me know if you have any questions,
Lora McIntosh (AKA Lala The PIR Ribbon Queen) ------------

Question: Any other moms/wives/gfs without calls or mail still?

I received another short letter yesterday and we had a call on Monday (01/02/2012).  He said they can receive letters daily but only get to write on Sunday.  I know I received 3 letters all in the same envelope the first time and when we spoke he said he believed RTC was holding incoming and outgoing mail for whatever reason.  Maybe you will get a letter today!

Hello Ladies, my son is also on ship 11 div 068 :)

Hello everyone!  I wanted to share information regarding letters to our SR's I read on another group.  The post read as follows:

ONE VERY INTERESTING NOTE ABOUT WRITING LETTERS TO OUR SR all the zeros (0) need to have a slash through them (/) on the envelopes or they will hold the mail from them.

This is the first I have read on this but I did notice on the  letters I received my SR did slash through the zeros in the addresses both to and from.

Welcome Colter's Mom!

I'm new to the group - a division 068 mom - am i too late to order these scarves i'm reading about? please let me know, thanks

No, not too late!  Go to "unique memory makers" on facebook to look at what she has, or her e-mail is uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com.  She's great!  I paypal-ed her the money.  She's working on ours now...she also makes lapel ribbons that are pretty cool.  It will have you SR's name, an anchor and the division number on them.  A nice keepsake!  It is all on her facebook page.  And welcome, Colter's Mom!

I just ordered my scarves less than an hour ago myself.  I just paid via PayPal and sent Lora (LaLa the Ribbon Queen) a confirmation email.  I ordered the Royal Blue with the Yellow Anchor.
