My boyfriend left for basic yesterday! He made his last call to me 9:18 pm and it lasted 18 seconds. I can't put my phone down!! I keep checking it for a text even though I know I won't be getting one!! He told me I could call his recruiter and get his address but I'm not sure how soon I can do that. I am soo anxious and nervous for him but excited too. I'm so proud but I miss him already! Did anyone else's boyfriend/fiance/husband leave Jan. 5?? I wonder when graduation will be!

AWESOME! and same goes for you! How are you doing?

today was the worst day for me, i havent gone this long without seeing him in a long time. i see you guys have contact with the recruiters but i only met them at a dep picnic once =(

how are you doing?

I've actually only met his recruiter once as well but the day before my boyfriend left he gave me all of his recruiter's contact info and said that I could call him and get his address before it came in the mail! I'm sure you could call the office and ask for his recruiter if you know his name!today wasn't a very good day for me either. I'm really missing him. It wouldn't be so bad if we could have SOME sort of contact. It's really hard not knowing that everything is ok and that he is ok!

I know I completely agree! I'm currently writing today's letter and trying not to be too sad. I'm going to try to call the office on Monday but I'm a little nervous. I was okay the last few days but day four is hitting home. My name is Barbara by the way and my boyfriends name is Michael and we are from New York.

He texted me before going into the USO office on Thursday saying "Hey going into the USO office tty when I can dont know when. Gnight love ya" and that's the last thing I have.

Two and a half more week supposedly when we hear from them right??

Maybe.  Don't count the first week.  Don't count on the week three phone call, as they often just don't happen.

I've wrote four letters so far and I definitely try to be happy and encouraging in them but of course I tell him I miss him! I know he wants to hear that! I'm just ready to hear from him in some way! My name is Jennie and my boyfriend's name is Chase :) we are from TN. AW :) my last text on thursday was so sweet and sad! He said "I love you more than anything. I'll call you when I get there and I'm so sorry to leave you like this."

He told me he may get to call on week 3 which could be week 4 of them actually being gone due to processing week. and I've heard that they don't let them send mail out until the 2nd sunday so that would be the 15th. so maybe we will get a letter the week of the 15th!

aw i hope so! i was thinking. do you think sending stamps in the envelope is a good idea or even self addressed envelopes with stamps?

yeah I think it's a good idea to send stamps and self addressed envelopes if you want! I guess it would cut down on time for him!

im gunna look into it, i dont want to get him in trouble! lol

Great lakes as well:) He said i should be getting his stuff soon and a letter soon but idk how soon soon is lol...I texted his recruiter yesterday to see if he knew his address and he texted back he'll call monday and find out for me:)!

I'm going to call my boyfriend's recruiter monday and ask if he has his address yet!! I hope he does! I've got letters waiting already lol :)

Me too!!!! I have 4 already:) Im sooo excited! Let me know if you get it!
