Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Looking forward to keeping in touch with you all who's sons and daughters will arrive on the 12th of January. Tough day. But so proud as I know all of us should be. Grateful for this site.

This site and the relationships will get you through. It's really tough when you can't communicate with your kids. Even now my son is in A school and it's been days since I've heard from him. I don't know if he lost his phone or if he's busy. I just don't know. And thats the hard part. After eighteen years of knowing most of the time. It's just really abrupt and difficult. Graduation was great, but I only got to see him that one day and then they shipped him out to A school early the next morning, so we got to see Chicago for a couple days. I didn't get to see him for Christmas either. So things change and I have to learn to just let go. It's tough.

It is a big change already. My son graduated last May and is been anxious to go. Just spoke to him at the airport and he sounds really excited. I will write letters and lots of prayer. Its hard to let go but we have raised them and we have too as hard as it is. Hang in there. I will 2.

My son was sworn in this morning as well, and was to fly to Great Lakes this afternoon. I just saw on the news that many flights are being delayed or canceled due to the weather in Chicago. Will I get a call if they don't actually make it there tonight?

I checked the flight status and My son is about to arrive. It seems like there delayed 2 hours. They will proiHe still has his cell phone so it was great. It will be taken at Great Lakes. They are able to make a quick phone call when they arrive. I am sure you will here. What time was he scheduled to leave???
