For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Mine then too. He is doing his A school there as well, but it is only about a 4 1/2 drive from me thank goodness. I plan on going to visit A LOT! These past 2 weeks have been horrible. I am ready for graduation already!

Ha, you're lucky. Mine is going down to Goose Creek which is about 8-10 hours away. I am planning on visiting him this summer, though. And as for graduation, I probably won't be able to go. I have school and he probably didn't put my name down for that reason. Plus I don't know how I could get there. Plus, his family is really weird and doesn't seen to like me.

Yeah mine is staying at Great Lakes for 6 months I think. I can't wait to get his form letter and see my name on there. I am so sorry you can't go :( We haven't been together long, but luckily I het along really well with his family. We get together ever Thursday night for dinner just to hang out. I don't know what I would do without them at this point. I just can't wait to get that form letter and see my name on it and get a letter from him. I am dying for a letter. I think it will help me feel a little better. Everyone says it starts to get better after 2 weeks and I am really hoping that's true. This has been really rough on me. It's hard going from seeing and spending time with someone all the time to no communication at all.

His family will probably be getting him form letter. Yea, it really sucks that I probably won't be able to go because I probably won't see him for a week after that because his family has to send him his laptop and cellphone. They can take them to the airport and give them to him, but they probably won't do that. I can probably count on both hands the number of times I have been to his house and on Sunday will have been dating for 9 months. I have been doing a lot better now than I had been doing so I am sure that it will get easier. It hard at night because I think of how much I miss him, but then I wake up in the morning and realize that I am one day closer to seeing him. It is really hard going from seeing and talking to someone everyday, to hearing from him once a week.

We just got his form letter today!!! I was so excited! Graduation is scheduled for march 9th. Let the countdown begin! I instantly started to feel better as soon as I saw it. It was nice to have some communication and see his handwriting!

Can I just say I am extremely jealous of you guys right now? Mine most likely sent his to his parents, which is understandable. I just wish could hear from him. I am pretty sure the earliest that I will hear from him is next week, if not the following. I wish his family didn't hate me, I mean I never did anything to make them even dislike me in the least. I just miss him so much.

Yeah his parents got his, but they called me as soon as they received it. I miss my bf so much as well. I can't wait to see him at graduation! We are already trying to plan hotels and stuff. Do you know if they only get liberty on graduation day or on Sat and Sun as well? That's what we were trying to figure out. My bf is going to A school there so I am not sure if that makes any difference.

From what I have read so far and don''t quote me on this they get liberty after they check into A school on Friday and some on Saturday and I believe Sunday as well but I am not positive about Sunday.
