Looking to connect with anyone else who has a loved one on the same ship as my son. I got a call from him today - I WAS SO HAPPY TO HEAR FROM HIM. He needed information for his security clearance stuff so it was a quick conversation but I don't care. It was just nice to hear his voice. He sounded very tired but upbeat if that makes sense.

Well, I'm deflated. The mail man was just here and there was no letter from my SR. :( I guess there is always tomorrow. If any of you get a letter and have anything you can share on line about the division, please do so.
I would love to know if they earned another flag or really anything that's going on. I think I will go and make a cup of tea and have a brief pity party. Sorry for the sad attitude. I was so looking forward to just seeing his handwriting.
We received a letter too! Much more informative that last one. Seems like all is well. He had gotten his A school information. He said they had a knot tying test the next day? He is definitely looking forward to seeing everyone. In my last letter I asked him for names of his buddies! Cant wait...20 days!!
Dear moms - not receiving letters. I have printed out the questionnaires that are posted on this site and those are what he is sending me. The one I got Thursday was only the 3rd letter I have received but he LOVES them. It is a way for them to communicate what is going on specifically but not having to think too much. Print them off, send them along with a self addressed stamped envelope and I can bet you they will send those back. My son loves to write and was a communications major in college, however, is really only sending those back to me. They are tired and probably overwhelmed at where to start when trying to write a letter. Give it a try. They did well at Marlinspike and I have names of his buddies - last names but I cannot post them on here. Does anyone know if I send a private message to everyone in the group if I can use last names then. It would be nice for us all to connect if our sailors are friends. I am just getting so excited for PIR it is less than 3 weeks away. 5 weeks ago I was so depressed and worried all the time. What an emotional roller coaster!
maybe you should ask this question (about names) on the general PIR site where more experienced navy moms can reply. It seems not too many are on this page.
Private messages are fine to use last names in!
Would love to know if mine was mentioned!
I assume since we chatted on facebook you don't need me to answer this, however, I had to tell you WAY TO GO on Trivia Tuesday. We were just talking about it. I cannot wait to see the pic - forever in your debt!
Hey moms- don't forget to order your scarves and ribbons from Lala - look on the previous posts for the description and information on which scarf is for our Division 064.
I know this division is big so there may be more than one of our sailors from a state but is there one of us who sailor is from North Dakota? I think my sailor knows your sailor! Friend me and I will give you a name.
bfive won trivia tuesday on the facebook page for our DIV 064 -- they are posting a picture on Thursday - CAN. NOT. WAIT!
