I think they are on 5/1 also.  If you go on google and type in "navy boot camp schedule"  it will come up.  I tells you what they are doing each week.  I just got a letter from  my son dated 1/10 and he said this past week was week 4 and called "HELL WEEK" where they are tested on all basic seamanship .  They also got their dog tags. We were disappointed he was told he would have 2 weeks off after bootcamp but the truth is he will go strait to sub school in CT for 7 weeks and immediatley after go strait to SECF A school for either 27 -33 weeks.  But thankfully Ct is only a few hours away.  My son said he got put in div 912 for his test score when they first got there.  Someone came in and said "who scored higher than an 80 on the test?" They raised their hands and said " come with me" then out out of that group he asked "who can swim?"  that narrowed down down group.  That is how he said he got in that div.  He doesn't have musical talent so he carries a sword while marching at the graduations.

You are all correct about 5/1.  My daughter called last night, yay!! She called because for some reason a past medical bill from 2008 ended up on her credit, so I have to go pay it!  Don't know why it was on her credit, but anyway, it was great, cus I got to talk to her.  They just finished "Hell Week" and did their marksmanship test on Friday I think.  I think she said 5-1 started on Friday or it starts Monday.  She sounded great and said if they have made it this far they are good to go. 18 more days!!!!!

As for getting into the 900 division, my daughter thought originally she got in because she was a drummer in her HS marching band, but it was actually due to her scores, the drumming was just an added bonus. :)

I look back over these posts everyday and cant believe how fast this has truly gone by! I have missed my SR like crazy and am acutally about to pop with excitement with 18 days left to go! I am already putting things aside to pack to go! His laptop, cell phone and ipod, earphones and a new chain for his St Christopher which broke while he was there! After reading some of the more recent posts, I guess I will be taking him some boxers since they can have them during A-school! I know one of the things he said he wanted to do when we get there is have his own hotel room so he can have some "down-time"! My husband and his step-dad had warned me about that earlier, saying that after being so close with the guys for the last 7 or 8 weeks, he will just want to be alone for a little while! He also said he wanted about a 2 hour shower!!!!! Cant say that I much blame him!!! Either way, once I see his face and get a hug and know that he is 100% OK, I will be happy with whatever he wants to do, even if its NOTHING!!! Just PLEASE everyone pray for NO SNOW!!!! Otherwise, I will have to be committed!!!

Well this answers my question I think!  My brother got a 94 on his ASVAB or something crazy like that, and he can most definitely swim.

He's going to A-school in great Lakes so we don't know what to expect for Liberty after PIR.  I'm hoping we get some time to take him into Chicago and have a great meal.

Is everybody ready to scour RTC's Facebook page tomorrow for pictures of our loved ones performing??? I'm psyched!!

You better believe the computer will be smoking tonight!!!!! I am not sure about the RTC website that will be posting the pictures, so if anyone knows for sure the address, PLEASE send it to me! I always see the one that pops up on my facebook page! Cant wait!!!!!

I can not wait to see the pictures!!!!  When do they post, does anyone know?

I know I have always seen them on Saturday mornings, but you had better believe that I will be on there tonight!!

usually they post them on Friday, but they're behind! They said in the next few hours.

THEY'RE UP!!!!!!!!!!         My daughter is in a few of them, they all look good. Oh my goodness, I cry everytime I see her picture.  Can't describe the emotions I'm feeling right now but I'm sure you all are going through the same thing.  Makes me feel a little at ease seeing her in these pictures.  I'm so proud of her and all the other recruits.

It is the best feeling ever!!! I cry too when i look at these pics!  It is just so amazing to be able to see her face.  We are all pretty lucky to have SRs in this division.  Not all moms get a chance to see their kids before their own PIR. Just think two weeks from today, it will be our turn!!!
