For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Heading to MEPS
The day we thought would never be here has arrived finally.
We are driving up to Boise to check our son, Zach into a hotel
from which he will be picked up in the morning and taken to MEPS
then to the airport to go to Great Lakes. I'm so proud and sad at the same time.

Wow...what a long day for her.....the flight was cancelled from San Antonio to O'Hare so she flew to Dallas and after a 3 hour delay, (bad thunderstorms) she just landed in Chicago. She just called from the plane and said she is fine and can't wait to get the show on the road....lol.By the way, my name is Micki

Good Night! I know they're tired! Zach hasn't called. He doesn't have his cell phone. I think they will wait to bring them to RTC after all new recruits have arrived at O'Hare. Hopefully he will call soon. I'm going to bed but will have my phone right beside me. (I'm Carol, by the way)

I got the call at 11:05 pm MST. He sounds really tired, but said the trip went fine, he'll send a letter when he can, the box will arrive soon, and he can call me in three weeks! I can sleep now. Goodnight!

Hi Carol, Good Morning! Kayla called when they landed in Chicago, (12:40am EST) just really quick to say she has safely landed and took a little nap on the flight. If Zach had to wait for all the recruits, then he was there waiting for her. Then I received a very quick call at 2:48am EST today and she was talking so fast I barely understood her, as she still is so congested but she did say that they would be calling again in about 3 weeks, expect a box and a form letter....
I just told her we love her, be strong and always stay positive.
