Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I am SO LOVING letters from my SR! Makes my heart sing. So, week 1, Day 1 was Tuesday, March 17th. That makes today week 2, day 3. Now we can follow along with the type of things they'll be doing each week.
My SR sounds good. Anyone know where I can find a list of jobs w/in the division and what they all mean?

Yeah. I just typed March instead of January. Jan. 17th was Day 1-1. If I figure it correctly, that makes today (Thursday, 1/26) Day 2-3 (week 2, day 3).

If I had to guess, I'd say it sounds like it's an all-male division. I haven't seen any female SRs mentioned on this ship/div discussion (that I can remember). I've asked that direct question of my SR - so we'll see what the answer is.

Well I did end up getting my letter, It was not real long but he has never been a writer. He sounds sad but I am sure it is just because he is away from everyone and everything he has known. I wrote him a letter right away with encouraging words and to let him know how proud we are of him. My husband wrote a 3 page letter to him last night. He said they are all rallying around and in it together and they are all going to get through boot camp together. I told him he has all the brothers he ever wanted in this division and has made life long friends. 34 more days can't go by weeks it feels better for me to go by days. This site and the FB site is really getting me through this. Thank you all for sharing bits of your letters it makes me feel so much better.

LETTERS, LETTERS, LETTERS!!!! I got three yesterday. He sounds great! My SR is Section Leader, which he said basically means he leads his group in marching and makes sure that everyone folds their clothes and puts them in their racks properly. He thought it was hysterical the he got picked because he is the best folder and ironer in his Division...(I told him it would come in handy some day) He thought he failed the physical running course the other day because he finished with a time of 12:45 and you have to finish in 12:30, they called his name that he passed then picked on him because he actually ran an extra lap...he finished in 11:55. LOL Still no phone call. I am really hoping for that!!!

Congrats! My SR is Laundry Petty Officer. That's Karma for you. He has never been great about his laundry in spite of numerous attempts by me to instruct and demonstrate as well as having him demonstrate over his 22 years. I am hoping for that phone call as well...carrying my phone with me EVERYWHERE! Have a great day!

Hi all!!! My fiance is on this ship and division!!! It's been 3 weeks since he's been in bc. I received his box and form letter in the first 2 weeks and i received a short letter yesterday and a longer letter today and im so very excited!!!:) He hurt himself already and has been bed ridden b/c they removed his wisdom teeth:( My poor baby! He's going to Groton Ct for A school. He doesnt like it lol. Said they scared the sh@t out of him lol. Im planning on booking rooms and ticket sooonn! So excited!
