I did receive a letter today as well. My kid said things are going great. He was happy to pass the swim and pt test.  He has not received any of our letters and that was disappointing, knowing that A LOT must be waiting for him to read...some where.

yay! Johanna, so glad you got yours too:)

I got my letter today!:) I'm so glad we are starting to receive letters. I hope yours will be in the mail tomorrow, Bearsmom!! Mine was short too, he had to write his sweet love;) so didn't have as long to write:) He said he is very sore all over and has shin splints (this is because he didn't listen to mom and dad who was on him for ever about getting ready and working out before he left!;). Surprisingly, he said it was cold but they bundle them up pretty good and no worries :). He was a little aggravated that he failed the test by 10 seconds on his running:/  He said they have to take a community shower! YIKES! He said 75 guys have 20 minutes to shower! He wasn't too thrilled about having to get 4 shots tho! He said all in all it was good there:) He sounded really good:) i was so worried when I had heard some had quit, I didn't want him to get discouraged and quit!! Was such a relief to get his letter and him say it was good. He said it was pretty challenging and he missed us all but he knew it would get better. :) He asked about how his 'baby' was lol, he was talking about his truck because his sister has been driving it since he's been gone! Wanted to make sure she hadn't hurt it! lol

I got a letter too!  He is doing great.  Misses my cooking and Texas weather :)  Said his rack mate is a NUKE also but didn't tell me his name.....details......sounded like all was going good!

That is wonderful, gavinsmom!:) It is so good to hear such great news from our guys so far away!:) Maybe he rack mate is my son;) That would be so neat to be getting to know the mom of the ones that are becoming his friends:)

Hi gavinsmom...my son is a nuke. Maybe they're rack mate's.  His name is Jeff.

My son is ship 07 div 080!  Excited about graduation coming up 03/02.  Got my first letter yesterday and I was so excited!  I couldn't stop smiling!

So glad to have you!!!! I am happy you all got letters. I am still waiting for one but hopefully it will come soon!!

Still no letter but I did get our insurance bill for our cars!!! LOL!! Oh, well. I guess I am still waiting. :)

:( I am sorry Bearsmom! I know it is agony just waiting. It is coming, keep hanging in there. Keep saying, no news is good news, no news is good news! :) I have been so stressed out since I got the phone call that I can't stand it almost! It was so wonderful to get to talk to him but I almost would rather the no news is good news better! I am hoping and praying all will work out ok! Looking forward to seeing you say, "I GOT MY LETTER!" :)

yay! so happy to hear you got a letter too:) I know exactly what you mean, I was the same way. Hearing all in all, everything is good was such a relief for me!!!:)

Hi Elizabeth! I'm a girlfriend too! Hope you received a letter from your SR!! It's so nice hearing from them!! :)
