Just wondering if there are any other moms that have sailors in this A School.

Well, I'm close! My son is in 1210. I hope your sailor is settling in and doing well. :)
My son is in class 1217, starts classes Monday. There were about a dozen or so from his PIR group that traveled to GC. He's the only one to start classes.
Does the class group refer to when they finish up?
I think, and I could be totally wrong, that the first two digits are fiscal year and the last two digits are counting off the classes that start that fiscal year. 1201 would have been first, then 1202, 1203, etc.
Momof3 - my son is in class 1217, too! Apparently it is divided into 4 groups - Alpha and Bravo - the MMs, and the C & D groups (can't remember what they're called) which are the ETs and EMs. He is A class, 1217-A
Does anyone know if there is a list of graduation dates for each class like they had for bootcamp?
@momof3: My son starts class Monday as well! He just finished "briefing" (after "indoc") and actual class starts Monday. PIR date was 1/6. One of his friends that he made in bootcamp traveled with him to GC and starts a week after him. Not sure what determines what class they make it into, but I know my son said they have x number of spots and they go down the list until all the spots are filled. And then the next week they take the next batch, etc.
I'm happy to know another mom who's son is in the same A class as mine. Mine PIR'd on 1/13. What rating is your son? Mine is MM.
My son is also an MM.
My son is also MM. PIR was 01-06-12 Shp07div035. Did your son phase up yesterday?
No not yet. He missed his run time by a minute or so. He has to take it again next week.
Hopefully he will make it. He was going to take advantage of this long weekend and get some running in.
My son's PIR was 12/2. They only put 2 from his bootcamp group in this class and the rest didn't "class up" until after the holidays so he is not in class with anyone that he knew from bootcamp. Slowly making some friends.
