Just wondering if there is any girlfriends, fiances or even wives who are living in a different state from your man while he's stationed in San Diego? My sailor just drove the past two days to Cali from Alabama, where I am still located due to being stuck to a university until I graduate, and I'm already feeling the nerves of him being SO far away.

Im not in this situation yet but I will be soon. My S.R. Will proablly be stationed in VA or NC and right now I'm currently in Philadelphia finishing my degree. I feel like, yes it's hard to be away from your significant other but, your education is very important. As long as you get to talk to your finance and maybe Skype him your focus should be on your studies and finishing your degree. Your man will not leave if he supports your career. I will have one more year of school left to finish and then I plan on living with my sailor when im all done. Your education is just as important as your sailor but that's my opinion and my sailor believes the same too. He would not let me move in with him until I finished school. Good Luck :)

MY SAILOR HAS BEEN GONE SINCE SEPT. 11TH.....WE HAVE NEVER BEEN APART FOR SO LONG IT'S HARD SOMETIMES BECAUSE HE'S MY BESTFRIEND AND HE IS MY SONS BEST BUD THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL RELATIONSHIP! IT GETS HARD SOMETIMES BUT I HAVE TO STAY STRONG FOR THE BOTH OF THEM.....WE WILL BE REUNITED NEXT MONTH SO I'M UBER EXCITED! EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE! JUST KEEP TALKING, WRITING, email, skypeing....the time you all are apart will fly by! GOOD LUCK HUNNY!

Thanks ladies, I am definitely going to stay here and finish my degree. I only have 2 semesters left so at the end of the summer next year I should be able to go be with him FINALLY! I was also wanting to just quit school and do online classes or something but we talked about it and decided it wouldnt be fair for me to have to sacrifice my future career because of his. 2,000 sucks, but he is gonna try to fly me out there during my spring break so it will give me something to look forward too and something to help pass the time. It makes me feel good to hear that other ladies in my situation can hold strong and get through school...I just keep telling myself...think of the amazing possibilies my fiance and I will have once we both get on the path in our careers we have always dreamed!

Hey there - my hubbys been gone since April 13th...yuck! I have seen him 4 times since then..and he missed the birth of our 6month old daughter..its been a really long hard year, but the end is in sight - I'm moving to San Diego in March to join him!! Skype is a wonderful thing..and patience patience patience... I often got mad at my sailor because he was busy doing something and I wanted to talk to him about our son's temper tantrum or something silly..Its gotten better, become more normal and now actually I'm a little nervous to live with him again (esp since he's now a military man!!)! Good luck, hang in there and you'll make it!!
