Anyone's recruit on this ship and Division?

Great idea! Count me in and my SR's grandmother too! Any color would be fine, but I like the thought of having the ship and div on them. I was thinking of walking with a small poster with 09/075 on it so if I walked by you, you would know. I had my phone attached to me all weekend. I'm thinking letter will arrive on Wednesday, like last week. Have a good Monday and if you ladies are on the FB forum, I am Lisa Davis, Dayton, Ohio!!

Count me in as well.  I will want two...one for my SR's girlfriend and one for myself.

I know others will also have these, too, since she sells them to anyone who wants them, but we could just do the ribbons that LaLaRibbonQueen does.  Support our SRs.  Appropriate.  Simple.  And, if we saw anyone else wearing them, there's a good chance they are from "here."  Assuming we are mostly sitting in the general area they designate for our division, I bet we can spot each other.

I think as long at it is not realy noticeable and understated that is fine.   We would just need to figure out a color we would want.

LOL - I was thinking just the typical navy blue she makes.  Nothing particularly different.

Works for me.

Works for me too. I would just need 2. One for me and one for my Mom.

Yes I would like 2 also.   How much are they?  I did not catch that in the string.  Thanks

09/075  Hi, had a 15 minute conversation with my son today!  He actually was allotted 40 minutes but he wanted to call his dad and other family members!  He sounds wonderful, I got to ask a lot of the questions that I've been meaning to ask for awhile!  He said the division is down to 76 today, they started with 89.  He had 2 of his wisdom teeth out and they bruised him so badly that it shows on his face.  He said next week is "Hell Week" and the team is looking forward to doing well.  They passed their first academic test 100% so they got their first flag!  He said the food has gotten better and that he has made 6-7 really good friends and they get to talk once in a while.  Overall, it was great!  I can't wait to talk to his Dad and compare notes!!

I too got my call I was sooo excited.   We are not supposed to be on our cell phones at work but I did not care.   I told the girl in my office if they have a problem then they can fire me.  I have been there 9 years if they have not fired me by now I don't see it happening.    LOL

Anyway he got a little emotional because he was so happy to talk to me.   He said he really needed it and knowing that all the mom's are supporting each other and are able to talk makes him feel better.   He said one of his closer friends there his mom and I are talking on FB or on this site.   He said they know about us trying to win the Trivia Tuesday and to keep trying they want to get their division picture taken.   Sounds like they really get excited about that stuff around there knowing the parents are behind them.  He has been going to church every Sunday and has put in a request to be Baptized.    I am so very proud of him.   I am proud of all our boys, they are going to be wonderful Sailors protecting us and everything we stand for.

Also, my son said that they are in week 2 day 5, but they are also in week 3, day 1!  I was confused but didn't press.  I think it has something to do with pt and academics!

I got call today too!  I was at work and he called the office instead of my cell.  He said "Mom, I thought you would be with a patient and not be able to answer your cell."  I am a dental hygienist.  I told him that I have my cell on my person at all times so not too worry.  He was feeling a little down yesterday because they got a compartment hit for the laundry so he is no longer Laundry PO.  He said the guys have been very supportive and he will learn to fold properly!  He said, the same as Nancy said, that they got their first flag for academics.  He said that they all know their moms are talking to each other both here and at the FB forum and they think it's great. He thought it was funny when he went for his dental exam and cleaning and there was nothing to do because I had just cleaned and checked his teeth before he left and he had had his wisdom teeth out 5 years ago!  One thing he said was the first mail call they had, he got 15 letters and someone else got 20.  The RDC made them do an 8-count for each letter over 5.  He said not to worry, keep sending the letters 'cause the 8-counts are only making him stronger!
