hello again ,mothers of sailors, since my SR is not a great writter i send him a file in the blank letter. along with the return envelope per addressed.  someone on the site did this for their son and what a great idea. seventeen days and counting. we have no update from the group. does anyone have the latest skuttlebutt? i await to hear from your sons and daughters

SWCC is Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewmen.  They are the support for SEALS.

Greny,

The passcode should be on the form letter that you got with your SR's address.  I was so excited to get the address, I totally missed everything else on there until later.

Sorry about the time with your SR being so short.  Just enjoy him for the time you have. Maybe you can get a gate pass at the airport to spend a little more time with him before he goes?

Hang in there, he's doing an amazing job.

Are we sure our sailors will be flying out so soon-and how do we get a gate pass if we don't know flight arrangements?-or is it just a wait and see-no letter for 2 weeks :(

You can get a gate pass from the ticket agent at the airport.  You just need to show an id (like your driver's license) and have your son/daughter with you so they can show their ticket.  That is what we did when our son was leaving for Boot Camp.  The agent printed off a gate pass for us.

hello moms of our new recruits, which will grad. 2-10-2012  are my replies getting out?  hope everyone is feeling better because we will soon see them, our boys ,

Hi Nannygubbie!

Two letters from my SR today.  Last week was lots of testing and inspections.  They had drill inspection, PFA (physical fitness assessment) and Marlinspike this week.  Lots of studying, too.  He says they have 3 flags- Scholastic, Athletic and Star.  He earned a marksmanship ribbon on the live fire range.  Says he earned a phone call, but something must have gone wrong... he also said there was talking in the mess line again and they had to bear crawl in and out of every rack (bed). He put a positive spin on it- says it was a great leg workout!

hi  paula so happy for you and thanks so much for sharing  his experiences with us. it really means a lot. i'm sure we all feel the same way. we at least get a peek of what they are enduring everyday..  no talking in line , huh. the book studying doesn't work well with my SR  he's the physical, i can do it type.  does not like books, so he said in highschool.  not much activity on this site last few days. but ole nanny g. will continue to watch for any new letters. i hope your phone call comes sooner than later.  be safe and stay in touch. thank you again for sharing.     nanny g

We need to play Trivia Tuesday at noon!

We tried Mindy! I'll send letters through this weekend then........ But, I'm going to need this page for the remainder of time until I board the plane!
