I haven't been on here for a while, but keeping up with the conversations. I haven't heard from my son in a little over 2 weeks now. I was getting a letter every week, but now nothing. I'm hoping he's just really tired or focused on preparing for battlestation. I know if something was wrong I would get a call...right??
Can't wait to meet you all too. I am so anxious right now waiting for my call.

Hello all-and Maile-anxious to get there now-my boy just called-got a 10 minute call for singing Tobey Keith's "American Soldier"-Thanx Tobey!-still doesn't know how long we'll get to spend with him this weekend but all is right with the world cause we got to talk to him---special thanks to whoever it was that loved his singing enough to grant a call (he is pretty good)..puttin my red scarf on now-can't wait til Friday 02/10/2012!!!!

AMom I am so happy for you!!!! I hope we all get a call soon. Does anyone know when they go to BS? Reading alot of comments from other divisions that they received their I am a Sailor call.

Terri, My son said in his last letter that their BS is Monday.  I guess expect your call Tuesday. Very exciting!

AMom, how cool.  My son earned a call for inspections, but never made it.

Less than a week and we'll see our boys/men.

Hey everyone! I was just on the recruit command fb page, and guess what? Taking top honors in the captain's cup is 806! They won!! I am so happy for our boys I'm crying. Does that even make sense? Congrats 806, so proud of you guys!!!

It mentions that they may get to make phone calls, but as usual, not a guarantee. It all depends on the RDC's time slot at the phone center.

Wow that is great!! Way to go 806!!

It makes perfect sense!! I am getting butterflies I'm so excited. CONGRATULATIONS 806!!! I'll keep my phone close just in case.

hurrah for the 806 men, they worked, hard and now there is proff , we love you guys.
