Anyone else have a loved one on Ship 9, Div. 087? My son is going to Nuke School in Charleston following PIR. Like so many of you, I am counting down the days until March 16!! Hope to see you there:)

Robin- I will be going to PIR. Not sure about meet and greet. We are driving up from Ky, the northern part by Cincinnati, OH, right after school. I think it will take about 5.5 hrs. I may talk my husband into leaving earlier so we can go to a meet and greet.
And I do want to get a ribbon. Which one is everyone interested in?
I hope to get a chance to meet all of you. The ribbons will definitely help us to know one another, especially with such a big PIR. Lala (Lora) said navy with gold or silver letter/numbers are the most popular--my favorite too!. We don't have to have the same color so long as we have our ship/div on there. I will mention it from time to time here to remind others about them.
My son also mentioned the RDCs. He thinks they hate the recruits lol. I wrote back not to take it personally.
I LOVE the ideas of the class letters:) I know my son will love them!!! Thank you for doing that Kitty!
Come on phone call! Come on phone call!!!
My phone is NOT ringing UGH!!!! Try to enjoy your day moms. I hope your phones ring!!
I also ask a afterschool class at our school, if they wanted to write letters. They did write letters but also are going to make val cards too. This is something the kids love doing!
Hope to get a call soon!! Hang in there moms!!
LOVE it!
Has anyone had a phone call today?? Just thinking and wishing!!
No phone call for us either... Are we expecting it today or just hoping and praying? Also, are we choosing a ribbon color?
Hi Jeana....I am going with the navy ones. Lala said we don't necessarily have to have the same color as long as we have our ship/div # then we will all know one another.
Not yet. Every time I left the house, I took my cell, but feared he would call the house and I would miss the call. Maybe during the game? Thinking of all of you and your SRs.
