Is there anyone with a SR Ship 2 Div 919? If yes, please comment on the status of your SR and your experience here. My son is there. We are from Texas. I've already made our reservations at the Residence Inn. I've been doing a lot of reading online and found that this place has nice 2 bedroom 2 bath suites with full kitchen. I also spoke with a lady online that verified there is a wonderful free full hot breakfast and that he graduation is only 4 miles or so away from the hotel. The online site state the suite will accommodate 6 comfortably. I haven't gotten tickets yet as I'm watching the rates. I've seen prices fall as low as 200 RT. However the deadline for use was prior to my departure date. Chime in if you are going and will be staying at the same hotel. Maybe we can have a meet and greet night at the hotel or something. Can anyone tell I'm extremely excited about PIR and getting to see my SR turn Sailor. Yeah!

Hello,
I just joined this site and have enjoyed reading the comments and getting some great information. My son is a SR on Ship 2 Div 919. Is anyone staying at the Ramada Inn??
Hello,
Welcome aboard. I'm s taying at the Residence Inn. I've seen others on this site from DIV 919 staying at the Residence Inn. If I'm not mistaken, the Sarge's Meet & Greet is there too.
I know how difficult it is not hearing from your daughter. However, if it is of any comfort, my husband, who was also in the Navy shared with me "No News IS Good News"... even though it is difficult on us it literally means they are focusing. :-))
I'm praying with you that you get some form of correspondence from your daughter. :-)) Just remember... keep writing her and encouraging her in your letters. Keep telling her how much you love her and how very proud of her you are. Also, try sending her a questionnaire type letter where she just has to circle the answer or fill in the blank. There are some pre-made Bootcamp Questionnaires on this site. Try it. Make it fun and be sure to enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope so she can just seal and send. Maybe this will help her communicate with you in the little time they have to do personal things.
Today, I pulled up old pic and videos of us all together. I listened to old messages on my cell phone that he'd left for me a while back. I know it's not the same; but, it makes me feel better. Find something that makes you feel close to her and enjoy it! :-))
Next Tuesday before noon - everyone go to the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command Facebook page - they have trivia Tuesday at noon, if one of us from Div 919 answer the question 1st - they will post a picture of all of our kids division!!!!! Div 915 won Tuesday....
I am going to be there doing my thing to help see them all...thanks for the reminder
