Our sailors will moving on to the 2nd phase of "Nuke" School. Indoc starts on Feb.9th and classes on the 13th. Since we will all be in the "same boat" together, I thought it will be nice to share our experiences.  Lets continue to support our sailors and each other!

Colin says hes 1202-9 and Indoc starts wednesday! I dont think Graduation will be untill the 1st week of August, around the 9th.

He also is looking forward to getting back to class...toooo much time on his hands, can only work out sooo long! :)

I understand the class is 1202 but what is the number that you put next- the 9 and the 11?
I guess from what my son said power school is very large so they are separated into smaller groups and not the same as they went to A school with so they are numbered. He said there was only about 5 from his a school in his class. But I thought they graduated together. My son gave me the date already. He also said they have a test tomorrow it doesn't count for their average just a base for their study hours.
I asked my son today and he said there are about 350 students in power school so they divide them into groups and 1-4 are et and 5-11 are mm. I also confirmed the graduation date.

My  sailor  tells  me he  is  in 1202-8.   What   I  love  about  this  site is  I  find  out  what  questions I  need  to  ask  him.  Knowing  that  some  are  getting  supplies  I  asked  him  if  he  had  done  the  same.  His  reply  was  Gee   they  gave  us  that  list  the  beginning  of  T Track.  I am  not  sure I  can  find the  list in  my  room. I  keep  telling  him he  needs  to  get  a  file.   If  his  navy  room  looks  anything  like  his  room  did  here the  paper  should  be  filed  somewhere  on  the  floor  or  under  the  bed!

Betsyleebig, lol, I know what you mean about the filing. My son's dorm room at MSU was so bad that you couldn't even see the floor. Sorry to say, I am not exaggerating.  According to him, that is not the case anymore. He claims he has had no marks against him on his room inspections. I don't fully believe him only because I raised him and have never seen a clean more than one day after making him clean it.

so powerschool lasts 24 weeks....anyone know the projected graduation date? If you count weeks then Im looking at the end of July...if you count 6 months, then 1st week August...any real dates? :)

so on another note my son was totally livid yesterday, ordered an engagement set from Overstock, 1st they forgot to ship out, then he got a package in yesterday, and its the WRONG ring! Good lord is he pissed!

got home from work yesterday and the hubby is on the phone outside giving them a royal ass chewing! Colin stated last nite that he got an email from overstock stating that they have the correct ring and are overnighting it to him...not sure when...he has 45 days to return the wrong one. Hoping it gets to him by Friday, he has a big plan for this weekend set up as his GF is going to be there for  a visit!

hello all!!

my son is in class 1202-11!   glad to meet you all!   he gave me his graduation date as july 20th also.  my birthday is the next day.  i will be spending my birthday in SC!!!  HOOYAH!!

yep...was told yesterday, July 20th also!

I guess we have plenty of people to confirm graduation date. I posted it on our discussion group title.  I wonder if I woulde be safe enough to put in for vacation at work for that weekend. Does anyone know if that date can change?

Amanda, Wow big step for your son. Do you and the GF get along well? I hope. If so, congratulations to all of you! I am glad they were able to straighten out the ring order.

Yes me and the GF get along great, actually she lives with me and his dad while she is completeing Nursing school...should graduate in August, so then I wil  kick her out and she will be his problem...LOL.

As for the ring, they still have not got that straight! They flat out lied, said they had the correct one and were shipping out that day....then he got an email stating that that particular ring was sold out and in order to get it they would have to custom make it which would take 4 days!! They sent him pics of other rings available which cost more, but he could have at what he already paid. One happened to be one of his choices to begin with.....but still as of yesterday he had not heard weather it had been shipped....so the GF is heading that way this morning, and he still may not have the ring on time!

I have already requested time off for graduation...Im taking off the 19th and 20th and the full next week! Just in case! :)

YAY...he got the ring today!
