Good. I am glad I'm not the only one. We are thinking it's just too cold to go out today, but I am. Just fi.ushed a letter to my SR. Also his Valentines Day card. I'm sending him another card that Ive had here. When friends come by, they have signed it. So one big card of Kick Ass!

So the topic of the day /last night is "flannel"?  Gotta love it, mine is Minnie Mouse!  And I didn't even know there were private FB groups but it sounds great to me!

idk about sending my sr a valentines card... don't want him to get laughed at because its from his mom...

I sent a Valentine's Card.  White envelope.  Basic, simple, but funny card about him not being able to follow instructions.  Not all pink and glittery.  I was excited when I found it because it was perfect.  Somehow I doubt anyone will be laughing at him.   Some SRs have wives.  Some have girl friends.  And some, have mainly their MOMS.

I found one that said something about him being messy...as I look at his room...it is SOOO appropriate.

Any suggestions as to where to find cute flannels?  I would like something with Peanuts characters or Muppets or Winnie the Pooh.

I hate saying the word, but the place would be Walmart. I don't go there at all, except in emergencies. When a child at 7:00 pm says they need something for school the next morning? Walmart. Not my standard place.

Jeez, I don't know if we even have near where I am.  I know what you mean about a child needing something the next day for school. Why do they always wait until the last possible minute? :-)

....and grandmothers!

Lilnonna glad to have you.   We take Grandmothers too.   Welcome

This is my Mom!

I love reading all your posts on this site!!!   I still have 4 kids at home and don't get to spend much time on the computer.

One of mine has already graduated from college and is on his own and my SR actually lived away from home for one year of college.   I totally agree with you all about this being sooo much different than college!    I can't stand not being able to send a text or drive to where my son is to check on him.    It does not matter how old your kids are, you still want to know that they are ok and happy.  :)

I am pretty sure that my son will be on a sub, too.   That is what he has said.   He has a long time to be in school so it will be a while but I know when he is out of touch again I will be sad to not be able to call him.

Right now, I am just starting to feel like I am functioning a little bit normally, if you know what I mean.  For the first few weeks (especially before the phone call) I felt like I had put my entire life on hold.   I was kind of wandering through each day without much focus.    I feel like I am coming out of that fog a little bit more each day.   I wake up every day and think about how many days we have until PIR.   :)

Well I did not pick up Flannels today.   Went to the Mall with my daughter and had some retail therapy though.   That was nice.   I never buy anything for myself.   The purse strings had been so tight for so long I forgot how shopping could be so much fun.

Anyway,  everyone up in the northern states must be sending the cold this way,   it is going to be in the 30's tonight here in Florida.   The northern part of florida may see snow and frost.   I think that has been the coldest all winter.  Thanks So much we appreciate it.  LOL

Kellyrose you have your hands full.   Wow,   I also feel as though I am starting to function again.   I think it is because we are almost to PIR.   We are in the Teen numbers ladies YAY!!!!!!!!
