I agree Viola, I pray for them every day and have my church praying for him too! The more prayer the better! :)
They don't count Saturday either...so I am "guessing" (just my take on it...not fact!) that he means Friday was 3-3 so Saturday means he is in a "hold" status on 3-3...until Monday 3-4. Ask him please and we'll find out!
I wasn't sure about Saturdays. I am asking him on his letter that will go out tomorrow so we shall see:) I wish he had more time to write and could tell me more about what is going on and what all he is doing! He is trying to write me, his love of his life, and then he wrote a short not to my youngest son because he has sent him a couple of letters. Almost every letter I have questions for him so I am sure it is hard for him since I write him every day! lol I am thankful for anything I get from him. I had asked him about what rank and color of stripes he would be when he graduated because I wasn't sure what it all meant. I had ordered him a couple of coins on the coin site that was under the graduation gifts and was wondering which one he would be. He did explain that to me:) He explained that his stripes will be red. White=seaman, green=airman, blue=construction, and red=fire control. He said the nukes are considered fire control.
Thank you so much FTLW--you are such a great help to all of us that are still learning the ropes!:)
Who all will be going to the Meet & Greet? We plan on being there! Hopefully we make it!
Leslie, I'm not sure about the Meet and Greet. It just depends on how the traveling goes.
I do have a question about toll boothes, or whatever they are called. We have none in SC and I'm not sure what to expect. Obviously we are coming through a lot of different states to get to Illinois. Would anyone know what we should expect? I may have to throw this question out there to a different forum.
Johanna,
Yes, Illinois has tollbooths. Some states have the I-Pass system and you can use it in Illinois. I would check that before you leave. Otherwise, you pay with cash. Bring plenty of change. They just doubled the tolls. Also, to make it more complicated they are always different. Meaning not each toll is a dollar, some maybe more.
Have a safe trip up here.

I'm going to Sarge's Meet and Greet! :)
I am planning on attending too. We are leaving Alabama early on the 1st. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and have a beautiful weekend there.
yes, I am hoping the weather will be good and we have no problems! We are leaving really early from Dallas on the 1st. Looking forward to meeting everyone!:)
So happy for everyone who got a letter - my SR didnt write me last week but he has a lot of letter to return - he better have written me Sunday or there will be trouble! LOL
Hope they are all doing good and they are on schedule for PIR.....not long now! Will be praying for the entire group. We are in the middle of moving so I'm not on here much but I enjoy reading my emails and staying in the loop. Have a good week!
Praying so earnestly for this group to unify. God knows the need and how to meet the need. Our boys are strong and will do what is necessary to bring these men along to where they need to be. I believe there is no way they have come this far to fail. God is in control!
You are so right MS Sailor. God IS in control. Thanks for the reminder. They are not going to fail. They're just making us sweat.........Lol. Gotta love our kids. Your optimism is so inspirational. Thank you!! :)
