OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Can't wait to hear how "Hell Week" turned out for them.  If you get letters this week, please post the comments. Thx

They are finishing Hell week today (week 4, day 5).  It's a week full of tests and inspections and stress.

This post from the navydep website gives you a day by day for what they are doing.  Remember, this is not set in stone and things move around a bit.  But you can get a really good feel for what they've been doing and what is yet to come.

This has really gotten me through.  Great site...NavyDEP.com.

Trivia Tuesday tomorrow.  Fast and accurate fingers, Ladies! :)

I'll be ready and type my best!

I'm routing for you ladies.  I can't get on quick enough on my phone and that site is blocked at work so I can't play.  GRRR.  We can do this!!  Div 72 got a nice write up on FB today.

I am actually going to print out some of the pages and study tonight.   just to have it on hand.    I know we can do this

You're so funny!

Okay, AWESOME and AMAZING ladies of 09/075...I am cheering you on for Trivia Tuesday!  I can't be at my computer but I will be able to check at my lunch break which is 1200 PST.   YOU ROCK!!!

I was missing my SR today and when I first got home tonight, I checked this site and our FB Forum.  Thank you all for being here and giving me a good laugh when I needed it.

I tried to find the RTC write up on 09/072 on FB...anyone know how to find it?  I am sure I am doing something wrong.

So today is Trivia Tuesday,   my boss is giving us a valentines day luncheon.   I totally forgot until just right now.   I am going to do my best to be at my desk ready to go.   i have to sneak away so they won't notice.

It was on the Navy Training Recruit Command page

@DramaSoul - The comments by RTC are on facebook.  If you go to the RTC facebook page, look at the links immediately under the pictures at the top.  One is to see the RTC posts and one is to see all the posts.  If you click the link to see just the RTC posts, it's right near the top.  Here's the text I copied and pasted:

I was walking outside a little while ago and watched as Div. 072 marched by. Once they reach a certain point in training, the divisions can march outside without an RDC present. I just wanted to let the loved ones of Div. 072 know that your recruits were marching in perfect unison all on their own and looked mighty outstanding! Stand proud Div. 072 loved ones!
